Goodbye 40GB! Hello 80GB! (No BC in this model!)

I really don't see what the problem is though. You want BC but, you can easily get a PS2 with the PS3 and it will be cheaper than the 60GB according to Mega. You want wireless when you can easily just use wired which is more efficient. The only problem would be the fewer usb ports which, you can get a usb hub for $5.

Frodus is right.

These days, it's cheaper to get a real PS2 and then the PS3. You'll pay nearly the same amount for a 60GB.

Not sure who this was aimed at but I'll give my response. BC isn't a huge deal for me, but if I can get it, I will. I already have a PS2 and would like to store it back in its box. I enjoy collecting consoles and would like to keep them as clean as possible. Sure I can get a second smaller PS2, but I'd rather not have another one, but now that you have brought it up, I'm strongly considering it. I agree with wired connections and that is always the route I go. Don't care much for USB ports, but didn't they also have other ports besides them that were taken out as well? Like SD Card and Memory Stick readers?

EDIT: Again as a collector, it would be nice to have a PS3 that had such a limited run.

I'd rather pay nearly the same amount if it removes console swapping.

See I'm gunna do what Mega suggested to Zi. I'm gunna wait when Sony wants to get rid of the 40 GB model, that's when they'll start liquidate them and be cheaper and I'll buy a PS2 while I'm at it whether it be used or new, preferably used for it will be cheaper. And you know what, it'll be around $399 by the time I'm done.

See that's a good idea for you. I don't have to much room and can't have too many hooked up at once. Plus I'm sick of looking at my PS2 I need a change of pace soon. :lol

See you are in a different spot than Fhq, he doesn't have a PS2 while you do. Why pay the extra cash for an older model when you can get more games. Also does everyone forget the 20GB model?

I remember the 20 but 60 is where it would be for me. I mean I would settle for a 40 if thats all I could get and just keep my ps2 hooked up but 60 is what I aiming for.

Yeah but to me the 60GB is the already complete package for me. I just want to buy the console and the games.
