Re: GBA Mirco to cost $100

Hmm

Well I was hoping it would be around the 50-70 price range, but I will still probably end up getting it. :-\

Re: GBA Mirco to cost $100

100 smackers for a system that they already have two other versions of? That's a little much don't ya think?

Ouch.

I thought it would be less than that.

It definitely seems like they're going after the Ipod crowd with the GBA Micro. In other words, people who will buy ipods because they're cool, even though there are mp3 players that cost less and work just as well as an ipod.

My wife tried to talk me into getting the GBA micro instead of the DS because it was $20 cheaper. I said no. I am surprised that Nintendo would even produce this along side the DS. And with a $20 difference in price too.
<sigh> But I still have to wait three more months to get it... :'(

What was the point in them making another gameboy advance anyways? Absolutely all of the flaws of the first one were addressed in the second! Plus, with the newest one there is nothing to protect the screen when you take it travelling with you... why pay a lot for something that goes back in technology?

It's not going back, but it's not moving forward either. Hmm I honestly dont know why they made this system.

We got the display units of what the GB Mirco will come packaged in....good lord the box is huge....much larger then the GBA SP or GBA box.

It comes with two face plates it seems and of course the normal "Black" or "Silver" face plate.

The unit is tiny, it's not even as big as a graham cracker....

graham crackers are pretty big though (or do you mean its that thin)?
I doubt you meant that.... but the gba original is smaller than a graham cracker.

It's all about money. Nintendo won't kill the Game Boy Advance untill there's a sharp decline in sales. Or when there are no more new games to release.

well more like Saltine crackers...over ign.com they'll show you how "tiny" it is

$99 price tag doesn't bother me, since GBA SP was released at the same price.

You get the charger, three face plates (depends on which you buy, Silver or black)

The box itself is larger then the unit itself by 80% lol

Okay I held one, it's itty bitty. I mean super SMALL....I played Super Mario Bros Classic on it. 2 inch screen is wow...

I love how, when you turn it on, the letters in SELECT and START light up in blue...if it's weak on power...they turn red...

It has brightness control and sound volume...and it's such a clear little picture.

It was the size of the palm of my hand literally!

It's really more for show...but I had a little trouble seeing the screen since it's smaller then the SP now.

Honestly, if you have an SP now, don't bother. GB Mirco is just for show I'd say

The import shop in my mall has some Micros. They had this really cool one that had a Famicom theme. It was awesome! But I think the Micro is too small for my hands.
