Gaming Pads for PC Games?

I've been thinking of picking up an Xbox 360 controller for my PC gaming and I was wondering if any of you use Game Pads for your PC gaming? Of course, this would not be for first person shooters but more for platformers and such. I can't stand the keyboard for those types of games.

Yea I use just a cheap logitech one that looks just like a PS2 controller. Works fine for driving and platforming games. My friend has the 360 one and it is excellent, however, I thought I read something about issues with it for older games. Could be wrong on that, though.

With the rumble feature?

Do you happen to have a link? I'm searching right now, but a lot them don't look too comfortable.

Is it this one?

Nah, this is the one- http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Dual-Action-Game-Pad/dp/B0000ALFCI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1264726252&sr=1-1 Gets a lot of bad reviews but honestly I never had any issues with the 2 of them I have. If you have the cash I'd definitely go with the 360 one, though.

Edit: Actually, the ones I have are a bit different. The 2 I have have use a d-pad similar to a 360 d-pad which I like because I use the d-pad a lot for "older" games. I am not sure I'd be fond of the way it is on the ones I linked. Dunno why they changed it...

Logitech Chillstream...

I like the idea of the Chillstream. It's made by a reputable company (Logitech) and based on the 360 controller. It doesn't get much better except, whoa, it's also like a built-in air conditioner for sweaty gamer palms!

That chillstream one looks pretty nice. I will probably have to get one myself. I've always been very fond of the xbox/360 layout so I know I'll like the feel of it.

So I ended up buying a PS2toUSB adapter and it works pretty well. Only $10 too! So far Psychonauts works with it. So I saved myself a few bucks and I know that the Dual Shock 2 is a reliable controller. But if it does stop working for some reason, I'll get that chillstream.

Using a Dualshock is definitely a great way to go. The Dualshock 2 with a Sixaxis silicone cover is still my favorite of all controllers.
