CG Intro is beautiful, it's like playing it on PS1 pretty much, the 3D graphics in the gameplay is very nicely done. Many have told me it is faithful to the Japanese Famicom original. Everything is in tact. GeoMancers are back in action. Haven't seen those since FF Tactics on PS1. Music is beautifully redone as well!

IGN gave it only a 7.6 due to its hard difficulty mostly and that the top screen isn't even used in the game (aside from looking at the world map), which is downright ridiculous

but hey its FF and I beat games to fast now that All I do is play DS for 8 hours at work so i will buy it

wow, it doesnt even use the top screen? is the touch screen used a lot?

I meant as in the game is pretty challenging...

and i don't think the touch screen is used at all...

So what I'm getting from this is that it's basically a GBA (as in it hardly ever uses the touch screen) game that has a map on the top screen instead of in the menu somewhere and is challenging?

Pretty much, and it only shows the map on the top when you open the map

Early on in the game you HAVE to power level or you will be sorry

I don't really like the job system either... but I'm not that far so it might get better

I have began playing it some, I think it is quite fun and entertaining though it does occasionally put me to sleep. I love the music in the game though and the battling experience. I will probably beat it within the next few monthsm, if only my brother wouldnt put my characters to shame though (he is at level 27 and is only three dungeons further than me (I am just in Canaan) and I am only at level 14.

Yea as much as it pains me to say it, I really don't like this game... It's seems like more work than fun and the storyline is about as cliche as you can get

yea that and it set me back $40

but it came with a cool pouch for the DS that I put quarters in for work

I have to agree with Auron here folks, I may not pick it up again as well, I playhed about ten hours of it and just put it down. I litereally only play it to fall asleep now as it is that dull.
