Yeah we had a super scope and the thing was worthless. Not as much fun as I thought it was going to be. I also don't remember very many games for the SNES that used the scope. One of my top 10 letdowns!
I still have my Super Scope. I never played the thing back then and I still don't play it now! They only made a small hand full of games for the thing and the only one I even sorta enjoyed was Metal Combat. I only keep it now cause I consider myself a collector. If you're looking to pick it up cause you think it'll be cool then you'll be shocked to learn it's not. The gun it awkward to hold and uses far too many batteries. The only other SNES accessory that's more useless than the super scope is the mouse that came with Mario Paint. I can think of only one other game that even used it. It was some RTS game that I have somewhere in my collection, that is also not that much fun to play, but by golly I have it! *L*
