DEAR GOD NO!!!! Bungie leave Halo?....

a halo 4? theres not point unless...they make it completely n the arbiters point of view just to milk its frachise for all its worth...
 
There is no Halo 4. A good chunk of Bungie is sick of Halo, and with most of them being in the upper half of Bungie, they've moved on. And really. What's the last four part trilogy you've heard of?
 
Yes, Halo 4 will exist. Although it's going to be called, "Halo: Combat Revolutions" not Halo 4.

One of the reasons that Bungie broke from Microsoft is because Bill Gates wouldn't fund another Halo game. So Bungie up and left Microsoft, so they can make the next Halo, without Gates' help.
 
I heard Microsoft let them leave to prevent Bungie guys leaving, otherwise they would have had to do another Halo, which they were sick of.


Plus, why wouldn't Bill Gates fund another? Does he have too much money?

So there is a foruth to the series. Hm... but will it be any good? I know Halo is still a sucess, but still... Should be good though. When's it supposed to come out?

And if Bill Gates and Bungie are gone, who the heck is funding Halo?!?
 
Microsoft. Bungie still has to make Halo games for them, but they're free for everything else.
 
They aren't going to for a while, since most of the team is sick of it. Plus, who says it has anything to do with the current characters? Maybe a Halo prequel akin to Halo Wars.
 
I'm sort of disappointed in Bungie for leaving Microsoft and also abandoning Halo but I guess its sort of smart. They made a great trilogy, then they dropped. Sounds good to me, unlike other games which make 1-2 good games and they keep trying to expand the series but the rest of the games are bad >_>
 
They haven't abandoned Halo, they've moved on for the time being. And disappointed in Bungie *mostly* leaving Microsoft? Now we can have other amazing Bungie creations on other systems.

If they did this, then maybe it'd be linked to The Fall of Reach, but instead (like you said) of playing as the Master Cheif, you play as a regular soldier making his/her way through the ranks. There was alot of comfrontation still going on before the Covenant first appeared, so it can easily happen.
... Maybe you could play as Lieutenant Keyes! He did pay a very big role in the start of the story, considering he was the one who was the escort for Dr Halsey as she searched for canditates to admit to the Spartan II Project. Considering what he knows, he could play a vfery god role as a Main Character.
 
I've read the entire interview in the new Game Informer with the Bungie guys and they say there is NO NEW HALO because they DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO THE HALO TITLE...the next game from Bungie other than Halo Wars will be a new version of their old MARATHON SERIES! HALO IS DONE...ITS OVER...THE FIGHT IS FINISHED....
 
Um, you're half right. Microsoft owns the rights to Halo, but Bungie still has to make Halo games when they ask, but they won't ask for a while otherwise some of the team will leave.

Halo Wars is being made by Ensemble, and Microsoft will probably ask Bungie to make another Halo game, if they are planning on making it.
 
Well i gotta give it to bungie for not going all the way and trying to milk the franchise for everything, like a halo rpg which would be dumb as hell
 
Who in their right mind would make Halo into an RPG??? THAT'S BLASPHEMY!! IT'S A FPS!!! Or in the case of Halo Wars, an RTS. But that still fits the genre rather nicely.

But yes, it is good of them for not milking it for everything it's got. That means it may still have the possability of going further into different things. Like a Movie, which may actually be made sometime and come out next year... or was it 2009? Hm.. ow well, the Halo Movie is mostly conspiracy anyway.
