COWABUNGA! TMNT Turtles in Time REMAKE for XBLA on August 5th ($10)

That's right! A strong possibility that the sequel to the Arcade TMNT, is coming to XBLA, WiiWare, and PSN!

TMNT Turtles in Time was also ported to the SNES under the name TMNT IV. Truth is, this game ROCKED!!! I cannot wait!

Me and Mai used to play TMNT Arcade on XBLA all the time ^^

Oh, there is one thing I forgot to mention, Arcade port Vs. the SNES port differences:

Notable is that this remake does not appear to be based on the Super Nintendo port, but the original arcade game. One difference between the two is that Tokka and Rahzar (from the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II) were bosses on the pirate ship stage, and not Bebop and Rocksteady. That could mean certain elements are omitted, such as the battle with Rat King and the Technodrome.

Hey..I played with you guys once too! I forget who else...but I remember there were 4 of us at one time!

But anyways..I can't wait for this. I'll be picking it up on PSN. :D

Looks like TMNT Turtles in Time Re-Shelled is going to be on XBLA JULY 22nd exclusively!

PSN users will have to wait sometime later this year...:( WiiWare edition was not even mentioned!

Well, I'm still happy, but sucks about the rest of our TMNT fans. Until then, get ready to kick some shell!

Badnews, is they are charging $15 for this game on XBLA and PSN. The original TMNT arcade was only $5 when it was released. Why charge more for the same length of game play as the first with updated graphics?

Heads up! The game is coming this Wednesday. Time flies, however, I think the $15 price tag is what kills me the most.

Because it's not just a direct port like the other Arcade game. If it's an actual remake then you need a decent sized studio compared to one that is only porting.

So that's where our extra $10 goes to? I mean, will there be anything extra?

Extra? They've worked hard to completely redesign the game so that most of us with HD's can enjoy practically an entire new experience.







To be honest, not sure. Maybe there will be.

Oh ok, I'm just thinking the $15 is a bit off for a remake these days, especially for a game that's digitally distributed.

TMNT Re-priced

It's been re-priced to 800 points now ($10). Now that's something I can deal with.

Im not a real turtles fan but It looks fun.
Im not gonna pick it up but I will ignore it.
 
I'm in love with this game right now <3 Omg I need more people to play with! It's such a SWEET REMAKE! Yet confusing when compared to the SNES...you don't even fight the Rat King in the sewers! O.O

Yet it was AWESOME to fight TOKKA AND RAZOR from TMNT 2 Secret of the Ooze :D!! GO NINJA! GO NINJA GO!!

Biggest change, it's like 2.5D now. I can attack at all 8 directions now depending on which way I am facing instead of being left or right.
