Whether the game uses an original score, or simply contains a compilation of licensed tracks, the music for the game must add another level of emotional depth and weight to the experience. Moreover, the game’s diverse, yet suitable, sound effects must engage the player on a variety of levels, not only by extending the realm of gameplay to audio sensory perception, but also by making the player want to crank the volume up to 11. The winner of this award must make hearing the game as fundamental to the experience as seeing the game, and it must do so with the greatest audio fidelity possible.

Gears of War 2. The gunshots and explosions and shouting and stuff was like so crazy in surround sound!

Tales would be higher but the soundtrack wasn't that strong, especially compared to the past Tales games.

I chose Mirrors Edge, nothing can beat the theme song "Still Alive" as well as "Shine". The sound during the levels was awesome as well.

I chose GTA IV, and I know no one else will, so I'll make this brief.

There's nothing you can hear in GTA IV that you won't hear in an actual urban center, and there's nothing you can hear in an urban center that you won't hear in GTA IV. Everything sounds the way you expect it to, the way it should.

Also the voice acting is great and the radio stations are perfect and they let you have custom soundtracks and there's a great attention to detail and... yeah, fallin on deaf ears, I know... :lol

Nah, I am glad to hear that. I felt that one of the weakest parts of GTA:SA was the soundtrack. What a let down the soundtrack was compared to VC, which had one of the best soundtracks ever, IMO.
