Are You Comfortable With Using Your Credit Card Online?

I don't have one,but even if I did I wouldn't use it online.I've only been surfin' the net for around 2 to 3 years, give or take, but I've become very paranoid when it comes to internet safety.Everyone is out to rip you off.(present viewers excepted.).It's my opinion that being a little paranoid online is a safe thing.

Any thoughts?

Godspeed.

I must admit i apply caution whenever having to use my card to pay for things, so I make sure that whomever I'm purchasing from is high rated and well secure. Since I don't have a working account for such, like Pay Pal, security when shopping online is a top priority. But, I've done it many times, and I've never had one problem.

Depends where i'm buying from if i'm buying from say the Steam store i would feel pretty secure but there are some places where you got to take caution.

I don't have a credit card though i got a debit card, it's to easy to put your self in debt with credit cards.

Only buy from reputable companies.

Make sure you understand your bank's policies if there is a problem - unauthorized payment, stopped payment, etc...

It's not really that difficult. It just takes a bit of sense.

There is a difference between being careful and being paranoid.

A little common sense and research and you won't have a problem. I've been buying stuff online for probably 7-8 years now and never once had a problem.

Same. I check my bank accounts daily and I check my credit reports often as well. Credit Cards have added protection from fraud as well compared to a debit/check card. So if you're going to buy online I recommend a good credit card.

Another reason I buy online, no sales tax (on certain sites) and free shipping (again, on certain sites.)

Just the money I save alone on these two things is well worth the risk.

Exactly. I've saved a lot of money buying online, especially when it comes to audio equipment. It's also great for things you simply can't find in stores such as older used games, older computer parts, etc,. In this day and age I couldn't imagine not being an online shopper. Again, if you buy from trusted sites the security risk is almost null as far as I'm concerned.

I think I can speak for all non-internet shoppers when I say you're not missing much.

My wife uses her card online all the time from companies that are reputable. We'll use Paypal also, which is handy. You just have to be smart about it.

I just got a debit card, a reloadable one. It's not linked to a bank account or anything, so I'm not as worried about it as I would a real credit card, but my god I love to buy stuff online! Especially Steam Deals ::D
