Bloomberg says, Nintendo might reveal another revised edition of the DS!

Am I having a flashback?? Last time I checked, this is 2008....the DS Lite was perfect as it was...or was it? (o-0)

Who knows, if they make it smaller perhaps? I seriously can't figure out what else they could do.

Oh what would really stink, is if they decided to remove the GBA port, just to cut back on production cost. Is the first thought that comes to mind.

It's the DS Micro is what all signs point to.

I read it back in Game Informer a month or two ago about the rumored new DS. They might or not take the GBA part off. :/

that's funny. Next time they should just make it the way they want it first. :lol

Those people are stupid. No offense to anybody here that did.

(I'm only joking[about the people being stupid, that is {im not joking about the no offense part though<unless you want me to be>}])lol :lol

It's definitely not worth it unless you are like a die-hard Nintendo fan and have to have it all or just like to have one of everything, which I used to do :-\.

well for me is worth it because i never bought a lite and my DS is dying right now :lol

They aren't revealing a new system at E3.

I'm not sure if that includes an update. Also, it would be foolish to remove the GBA slot.

Yeah it would, but they would probably still do it.
Umm, no, not really. Here's a normal every day person proving why they won't.
GBA cartridges are a defunct medium in that they are no longer developed for or used in production, but it would be inaccurate to say that there aren't still millions of them in the collections of gamers worldwide. This isn't to say it isn't more than possible that Nintendo will remove the GBA slot from a potential DS redesign, but Nintendo's people are smarter than me by far, and there's no way they don't know what I know about how many gamers still own and play GBA games on their DS.

Furthermore, if they were to remove such a feature from a redesigned DS, first-time purchasers would not be able to use that handheld for the GBA game-inclusive features (Pokémon appearances via GBA insertion, PAL Park, etc) in Diamond, Pearl and a potential 3rd Sinnoh game, another thing that I can guarantee you Nintendo would have thought of in the process of redesigning the DS for a re-release.

Because the necessary technology to play those older games actually would have cost a decent amount, so Nintendo did it to keep the price low(considering they were competing with the PSP), and haven't added it in to prevent angering customers of early models who would complain they shouldn't have to buy an entirely new system for it, when their old ones work perfectly fine.

Oh I see, I assumed it wouldn't cost to much, but I guess it is reasonable to understand now. Haha I'm still mad but at least I know why!
