Animal Crossing - Wii - Any Information?

has there been any information recently released on Animal Crossing for the Wii?

I am curious... I figured we would have had information regarding this game.

Anyone else looking forward to this?

Only thing that bums me out, the voice speak adaptor is sold seperate. :( I thought it was going to be bundled with it!

The biggest surprise, was the ability to transfer your DS Animal Crossing character to the Wii edition.

What online articles have you been checking out?

and that does surprise me too... It's hard to believe the DS characters will be uploaded. I am HOPING the Wii version follows suit with the Cube version, more than the DS version. I hope there are a lot of improvements, add-ons... and not much taken away. IE there were things in the 1st animal crossing that I wish were in the DS version and Vice Versa.

does anyone play the DS version online anymore?

Honestly? Following from what we saw at E3. 1up.com, Kotaku.com, and Joystiq.com has been our primary sources.

As for the gameplay itself, it looks and feels like DS edition by far. They're using the same approach, but with so much more to do in this city they have created for you. You do get to visit fimilar faces from the past.
