As long as there is no decimals involved,no matter what number you multiply by 9-the sum will always workout to nine.

9x7=63/6+3=9
 
Actually, I'm pretty sure the number will always add up to 9 at some level no matter what you multiply 9 by.

9*6.5=5.85
5+8+5=18
1+8=9

But, this is old news :P

thats how kids learn their 9 times tables in school. Hold up both hands, number fingers 1 - 10 starting with thumb on left hand. 9 * x (where x < 11) can be instantly figured out by putting down x finger and reading what your hands say. ie 9 x 5 pinky on left hand is down leaving 4 fingers on left hand and five fingers on right hand. 45. 9 x 8 Middle finger is placed down leaving 7 seven fingers to the left of it and two to the right. 72. Easy way to get you 2nd - 3rd grader figuring out his 9 times tables.
