will the psp have Ps2 graphics?

I keep hearing that the thing can pull Ps2 graphics.... but can that be true?

post up comments...and information, please :)

The graphics are actually better than PS2 some of the time, from what I saw at E3. It looks really nice, especially on the widescreen LCD screen that the PSP sports.
