From what I understand, the Wii is basically a souped-up GameCube anyway, so it makes perfect sense.

I don't know why... It's hard to believe.

It does make sense though.

It really makes me wonder if Nintendo is going to make a more beefy system later. But honestly it would be shelved due to the crazy sales figures that the Wii and DS are eating for breakfast.
