Could this just be a false report just to distract us? I read the artical but im still not happy. Wii wouldnt they call it revolution! :lol

I never thought about that. I propose (as someone propsoed earlier) that we still refer to it as the revolution.

Im still going to call it the Revolution. Wii just is not good. Does anybody know if it means anything in Japanese?

My theory, Miyamoto comes to the president of nintendo and says, I don't like it being called Revolution, why don't you call it Wii

The president then made an annoucment, Miyamoto says it should be called Wii and he's always right so we have to do what he says or else

and there you have it Wii

Hmm, damn I need to take a Wii, I just can't wait for the Wii section of the forums. If I had a Wii, I'de be playing with it a lot. I'd love my Wii loike no one else can love my Wii properly. Then i'll try to get my girlfriend into my Wii by playing with it.

Here's another theory. Maybe Nintendo wanted to get into the 3 character name club. The new Xbox console isn't usually referred to as the Xbox 360, just the "360". The new Playstation console will be the "PS3". And now the new Nintendo console will be the "Wii". Just a thought.

Oh man I hope that the Revolution doesn't get renamed the Wii. If it does, I'm gonna have stickers made that say "Nintendo Revolution and cover the "Wii" logo with it.

The name reminds me of Daewoo. And "Wii" all know where that company ended up...

I'm aware that some people like it, or in any event they don't hate it. I am not those people, but I think that I can live in peace with them as long as they do not try and honestly suggest that the [expletive deleted] name is emblematic of togetherness.

What makes me mad isn't that Nintendo has chosen a name based on bizarre, interstellar philosophy. It's that they chose a name that was and is so readily used to obscure and discredit the imaginative power of the system.
