Which should I watch first Samurai X or Death Note

Well I got out to the mall last night and picked up the Part 1 Box set of Death note and a used boxset of Samurai X it's both the regular movies and the 2 director's cuts. So the question is pretty straight foward I'm going start watching one of them tuesday which one would you pick?
 
Mmm, Afro Samurai is alot shorter of an anime than Death Note, so if you want to get that one out of the way first. They're both awesome. Do you like more of an action/gory anime to start? Or an intellectual one that gets you thinking?
 
Thanks..lol I just had Afro Samurai in my head for some reason. :lol

Definitely start up on Death Note though man. I think you'll really like it.
 
First off I want to thank Joyling, Strubes and Fr0dus for taking time to give me your opinions. I have decided to go with Death Note first and then Samuria X hopefuly the TV series whiched I order online will be here by then.
 
Well there was one thing bugging me the voice of Light sound so familiar but I couldn't figure from where when I looked it up the morning it made sense the voice actor was same guy that did both Quarte from GW and Rock from Black Lagoon.
Also think I watched first couple episodes of this series online when it first came out. :)
