what happened to all the PSP owners?

Where did all the PSP owners go? There is nearly no psp chatter going on.

Do you all not like the system? IS it too expensive? Or is there just nothing to talk about on it?

BV :hat

It's too expensive, and IMO not worth it.

I played a few games at E3 but nothing that was really impressive.

Burnout Legends was beautiful, but the controls were iffy, and the screen isn't big enough to see everything going on. I'd much rather play Burnout on my XBOX where I have the option of choosing between a 27 inch tv (mine) and a 60 inch tv (my roommates'). Besides, it's an EA game so it's going to cost $50, so I'd rather pay $50 for the console version than for a handheld version.

I am interested in Infected, which looks like a cool new idea for a game. Unfortunately they didn't have it at E3 that I could see, so I didn't get a chance to play it.

I still want a PSP just to have it for my system collection, but I'm ok with waiting a few years when the prices go down for the system itself, the games, and the memory stick duos. And also, it will have a lot more games by then, and maybe some I'll actually be interested in.

I would have wanted the game Lumines for the PSP (I guess its bad that the people that dont own the PSP hafta to talk about it)

Ive stopped playing games altogether for the time being. Im focusing these next couple of months on my studies. Im almost done so once I graduate I want to be as good as I can and get a job quickly. Then ill start playing again.

I've played a couple games on my cousin's PSP and I'm not really that impresses with it. There's no games out that interest me, and besides that, I don't have a job so I have no money to buy it.

My thoughts exactly.

Most of the games on PSP will be or are already out on PS2 already, so I don't see why I should bother get one. I did hear you can play PSP games on your normal tv through the PS3, but then again you could play some GameBoy games through a Nintendo console, and it didn't impress me at all. You got a bigger screen and all that, but the resolution is the same. The result is you feel like you're playing some game from the 80's or worse. Just because a game looks good on the PSP, it doesn't mean it will look good on a tv. Just get the console version instead.

And let's not even mention the really short battery life... ;)

You're correct when you say that it wont look as good as on the tv than the PSP. Not because of the resolution of the PSP but because of the resolution of the tv. If you have a regular tv it wont be as crisp as on the PSP. Although it would actually look really good if you had an HDTV. But of course not all of us have one. Hopefully they do start making original games rather than ports.

I don't have the money for a PSP now, I'll eventually get one just to load it up with hacks so I can use the wireless internet and *ehem* emus *ehem* :D

The smaller the screen is the better it will look.

That depends on what screen it was made for. If you make a game for a big tv, you'll get great looks, just as you get great looks if you make it for small tv's. If you make a game for a big tv and play it on a small tv (like the PSP), you will still get good looks since you don't change the resolution that much. However, make a game for a small tv like a PSP and then play it on a big tv, and you will get much worse looks since the resolution will be too low.

Your right for the most part. But in the case of the PSP it will still look good if you play it on an HDTV because they both can produce the same resolution. Since they both display Square pixels there will be no distortion. If you play it on a regular then yes it will distort.
