What does Wii stand for anyway?

If only L.A.I.R didn't suck
So I know there has been alot of jokes made about the wii and I know it's supposed to be more meaningful in Japanese but does anyone know what it stands for exactly?

I agree with that. I don't know, maybe it's just because I think the name is lame.

Nintendo should have kept Revolution as the name.

It's not so much that I dislike the name "Wii". It's just that I thought "Nintendo Revolution" sounded cool. Whatever, it's not going to stop me from buying it. :)
 
I like revolution, but what would they have done with their next-next gen what happens usually after a revolution, "Nintendo Government Corruption?"
