Toys R Us begins a national trade-in program. Accepts ANY game, even Atari 2600.

I think Toys R Us just walked into rush hour traffic without realizing what will happen.

That's beyond odd. The third party company (who is unnamed at this point) taking vintage stuff..... I mean places like rhino and game stop don't take / have much past the game cube. I mean most have a little dinky rack of clearance junk but who wants madden 96 for the super nintendo for $.99 I can't think of a third party retailer that deals with vintage on that kind of scale, and my gosh, what's that going to do to the market? atari 2600 games are worth a quarter for the most part. Is whoever going to come in and "Create" a giant used game dealer that handles vintage or are they just going to collect and feed the bigger stuff to the rhinos and gamestops and lump off the vintage to the smaller guys? I mean honestly, does anyone know of a used game retailer that handles the older stuff that's large enough to handle this?

Blue, if you read this chime in with you're two cents

I don't know any national retail chains. But there are plenty of decent sized stores around me that sell everything video games. Even broken consoles and peripherals for parts.

Oh my! And there is a Toys R Us accross the street from my work!

When I look for vintage stuff, I usually go to second hand stores nearby. There's a small store in Wake Forest that I stumbled upon a few weeks ago. And there's a great place in Raleigh that has decent prices. Most places like these don't care much for the inflated "collector" prices, as they are just in it for the few dollars worth of trade-in credit.
