All your bases are belong to us
Well i my self am not a big halo fan so i realy don't dig it, im saving my money for call of duty 4, and the ultimate fable 2! i mean come on u get ur own dog compaion who starts out as a pup and grows with you, not only that but when u get in fights u start to get scars and people will run away from you out of fear, I loved the 1st fable it was on the short side but the story was awesome and when i played the lost chapters I fell in love again, the other title is Mass Effect it's made by BIO-WARE the same people who brought us great titles like kotor and jade empire, plus mass efect looks amazing the way you can interact with charcters and how they respond effects the games this truly looks like a really good rpg on the 360!

Re: afterthoughts Fable 2

My thoughts? I don't trust Molyneaux as far as I can throw him, bu it looks good, so far...I'll just have to wait and see on this.

Ummm...Rephrase that in a sentence so I can understand it please. :lol

Fable 2 will we be dissapointed yet again?

Well it seem's like lion's head studio like's to keep us hanging by the skin of our teeth, because I have heard nothing about this game just crumbs of info here and there. I know you get a puppy as your campion and that it grows with you but I also heard that you can have kids and what not...... let's just stop right there and go back to Fable.... Raise your hands if you liked it..... ok now raise your hands if you liked it but did'nt because it was to short..... ok finally rasie your hand if you played the lost chapters dressed like a hooker and still thought it was to short......ok good now back to Fable 2... Im really crossing my fingers and hoping that this game does'nt end up short I loved the first one and can't wait for it's sequel im just praying that our friend Peter does'nt drop the ball again.

Re: Fable 2 will we be dissapointed yet again?

Thankfully I rented Fable so I wasn't pissed that it was so short. I rarely pay full price for new titles without renting or at least playing a demo first.

Update on Fable 2

http://www.joystiq.com/2008/05/13/fable-2-content-complete-3-more-fables-planned-danish-site-r/

Fable 2 is "content complete" with a measly 5,000 bugs to squash before it's completely complete, reports NeoGAF poster "Vinterbird" (aka Mikkel Vinther of Xboxlife.dk). The Danish site published a preview of Lionhead's second try today, based on a visit to the studio's headquarters in Guilford, UK last week. Vinther kindly translated the good parts, highlighting these new details in his post on NeoGAF:

Mini-map has been replaced with a "bread crumb trail;" a dynamic golden line on the ground that directs you to a destination (read: medieval GPS)
Magic system is divided into focused, single-foe attacks and ranged attacks; attacks can be built up into five levels using various spell combinations

Speaking of spells, there'll be just eight (but remember, they can be combined)
Every house in the game is up for sale; each house will unlock a sidequest, item or skill
Rough estimation: 20-30 times larger than the first Fable [Microsoft says: "a world 10 times the size of the iconic Xbox game"]
The gameworld features seasons and dynamic weather
Cutscenes are interactive; the d-pad can be used to issue certain gestures that will steer conversations
Sex minigame was canned; instead, screen goes dark and moaning ensues (sex can still be unprotected though! Babies, yes; STDs, unconfirmed)
Female character was almost canned; almost.
And finally: Three more Fable sequels are being planned. (Lionhead is currently wrapping up Fable 2 and focusing on an announced project.)

Re: Update on Fable 2

At this year's Game Developers Conference Lionhead's founder Peter Molyneux teased attendees by asking his publicist, "Can we reveal the date? No? Sorry, we can't." According to posts on the official Fable 2 forums, Molyneux implied an Autumn release by saying that the game would arrive "when the leaves turn brown."

However, Today Microsoft offered a more concrete release window for Fable 2, albeit not one as solid as it gave the long-delayed Too Human. The company announced that the game would ship "this holiday," suggesting a pre-Christmas launch window.

The first Fable game was released on the original Xbox in 2004, and gamers took on the role of a young boy whose village was destroyed and parents murdered by bandits. The game gave players the option to choose between good and evil actions whilst building the boy's character. After being ported to the PC and Macintosh in 2005 alongside its Lost Chapters expansion on Xbox, Fable was also available last year as an Xbox Original download from Xbox Live.

Fable 2 is the sequel, and promises a gameplay world which will be 10 times the size of the original, a faithful companion in the form of a dog, and more difficulty in making moral choices. Players will be able to be a male or female character this time, and can marry and have children within the game world, along with buying any building within it. The game will also have interactivity with several Xbox Live Arcade games, which will allow players to earn money they can spend in Fable 2 proper.

Interesting concept about the Xbox Live Arcade games, the points you earn in those games can CONVERT into coins/money you can use in Fable 2...

Fable 2 Limited Edition revealed

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6193404.html

Comes with free $10 XBLA game. This XBLA game, the more points you score, you can transfer them into gold for Fable 2.

Re: Fable 2 Limited Edition revealed

Now is this one going to have a dragon to beat the crap out of? I know it was a huge rumor in the first one. Either way, I am on the fence with this game because Fable 1 was way too linear and short imo.

Re: Fable 2 Limited Edition revealed

Just read that post man and it sort of seems like another leaching effort by microsoft to make you cough up money for extra items. Wonder how long into the game it will be before they start selling clothes and other items on XBL for that game to make even more money? Might turn into a "Dark Ages" of the 360.

Master Chief is in Fable 2.

Yup, you're not going crazy...it's real.
