Sorry. I had to. One last contraversial thread on Nintendo's Revolution !! LOL

Sorry, but I thought this was just hilarious.

Let me ask you something. What would you say is the most "INNOVATIVE" feature about the Revolution??

The controller? That's probably what you were thinking right? Of coarse it is. What a completely NEW AND ORIGINAL WAY TO PLAY VIDEOGAMES !! Being able to control what's on screen by swinging your arms around is so ...so......DIFFERENT and ORIGIONAL !!!. Where do the brilliant minds at Nintendo come up with these BRILLIANTLY INNOVATIVE ideas?? Nintendo once again reminds us just how much more "INNOVATIVE" they are compared to Sony and Microsoft. They RULE!!! :lol

Nintendo fans everywhere rejoice !! The Revolution's remote will change the way we play videogames forever !!!

Using anything else, is just "CHILD'S PLAY" :lol x1000

NINTENDO= OWNED !!!!! :lol

Re: Sorry. I had to. One last contraversial thread on Nintendo's Revolution !!

There's "origionality" for 'ya :lol

Come on. You laughed and you know it :lol

Re: Sorry. I had to. One last contraversial thread on Nintendo's Revolution !!

Funny, yes.

But you could also make the argument that there are a lot of arcade games based on motion and such. I'm quite curious about how successful the Power Glove really was. Perhaps there was a lot of kinks in it or something. Or maybe there were only sertian games that worked with it? I'm not sure.

So, perhaps its not as innovative as some would like to think. But I would like some in depth info on how the Power Glove works versus how the new controller works. Maybe we can see some difference there.

Now, there is one thing I found that I think is from Nintendo. Can anyone tell me anything about this?

Take it from me, someone who actually bought the powerglove when it first came out !! (God I can't believe I waited outside the store to be the first one to buy one of these things !! :lol

It wasn't very good. :lol

Sure, it was "innovative" at the time (like, 20 year's ago !!! ). It did change the way I played games like Mike Tyson's punchout and 1942 but the novelty wore off after about 15 minutes of swinging my arm around lookng like a total RETARD !! :lol.

Seriously though, myself, and no doubt, ten's of thousands of other gamers who bought the powerglove based on Nintendo's promise it would revolutionize the way we played games were really let down. >:(

Yeah it was "different", but literally after a few minutes, it felt stupid. Powergloves everywhere were being thrown into the closet and forgotton about only days after being purchased >:(

It wasn't that this form of control didn't offer anything unique, it did, but it just a came off as "gimmicky" after a while.

That's why when people say Nintendo's going to change the way we play games with their "innovative" controller, I'm like, "....... Ahh.....no.... they won't." :lol

They tried 20 years ago and it flopped back then 'cause no one cared for it. There's nothing new or original about the Revolution's remote at all. It's basically a recycled powerglove inside a remote and advertised as something "new and original" by Nintendo.

Hopefully, Nintendo's new "powerglove" will do better than the old one ;)

EDIT:

I just took these shot's now for those of you who probably weren't even born yet when this came out :lol Looks cool. But it was nothing more than a gimmick at best !
