So I need a bit of a few suggestions in terms of what my next game should be. Im getting like a new HD tv and I really want a game that shines on it and would be amazing to look at. I was leaning towards getting the rpg Resonance of Fate because I wanted it since day 1 but Im up for getting another game as well. Also, I already have FFXIII.

Any suggestions would be nice. Uh I have Uncharted 2 already and dont really want a shooter cause UC2 is so engrossing and fulfilling for online multiplayer.

Metal Gear Solid 4 if you don't already have that

Bayonetta and SSFIV look pretty good on the HD TVs I use
 
3D Dot Game Heroes, Demon's Souls, Valkyria Chronicles, Yakuza 3, LBP, those are the non-shooters I can recommend. Should all look good in HD too.
 
lol so many choice!

Bayonette seems interesting, at one point I had Valkryia Chronicles but only made it 30 minutes in and traded it in due to lack of time. I was also considering Dragon Age Origins and even Trinity Universe. lol, though I guess all games look good in HD?

well, I suppose youtube dumbs down the quality as well. I'm just saying I've seen it on PS3 and it looks a bit better than that.
 
Reviving this thread.

As I mentioned in the Post It All thread, I now own a PS3. I'm looking to get some games, but mostly just exclusives. One of the things I noticed when looking through the amount of titles is that I don't want any of them, because I either don't like them, or I already have them on my 360.

Which leads me to exclusives. I got MGS4, but looking for some other titles that take advantage of the extra PS3 horsepower.
 
God of War 3???? it is hard to recommend PS3 games to someone who does not like RPGS >_> (it's like recommending 360 games to someone who does not like FPSs)

Eternal Sonata in HD looks incredible. Also, if you want a fighter, I highly recommend Blaz Blue Continuum Shift. That looks incredible in HD as well.

Aren't there non-RPG exclusives besides GoWIII and Uncharted? Which I will pick up eventually. But feel free to recommend RPGs. As long as it's not FFXIII. Didn't really care for that game.

there is star ocean international edition for the ps3, the god of war collection, disgaea 3. and I have already mentioned MAG to yo before. that's really all i can think of as far as exclusives or semi-exclusives are concerned. Folklore i don't know much about but it was one of the early PS3 titles

Oh yeah i totally forgot about infamous, killzone 2 and heavy rain... (though the first 2 always go under my radar there is no excuse to forget about heavy rain)

there is also both ninja gaiden sigmas

Yakuza

oh yeah for download games you should try out all the pixeljunk games, i heard they are really fun.

you know... I am starting to feel depressed after making this list... i don't really care for most of the ps3 exclusives T_T if anything i only own 3 out of all the exclusives mentioned......

You know, that's exactly how I felt when I was looking for games to buy with my PS3. I looked and just thought to myself, "Why is the PS3 good again?" :lol

But then I remembered Gran Turismo. :D

Well, please start somewhere. I don't want to regret buying a PS3. :)

I'm looking into LBP and Heavy Rain already. I'll look into KZ2 and inFamous. 3D Dot Heroes looks cool but how good is it really?

3D Dot Heroes is great! But it depends on if you loved the old school top down RPG's like Zelda. If you did, this game caters directly to you. There's plenty of hidden areas and secrets, and even cameos in this!

Also, if you like a really challenging game, Demons Souls is for you. It can be found I believe for $30 right now.

Also, Resistance 2 has some enormous battles. Pretty fun shooter in itself.

Oh, and Valkyria Chronicles. One of the most under appreciated games of all time. It's a bargain-priced game for just $20.

actually if you would like a 3rd person shooter with a lot of depth and strategy to it this is the game to go...because i agree with this statement (though VC2 is even more under appreciated but it is not for the ps3 XD)

Awesome, for some reason I thought VC was an RPG.
