Actually, on a more serious note, I recently purchased NBA 2K3 out of a bargain bin at my place of business, and I've noticed that the game locks up... a lot. I know a lot of you here aren't sports games fans but I was wondering if anyone heard about a bug or anything with the game.

where does it lock up?

does the cube give an error message?

It locks up at random times. First time it happened, the computer player charged my guy, and it just made this kind of humming noise. Second time, my guy was throwing the ball inbounds, same thing, humming sound, and everything just stopped moving. Then again, bout 20 minutes later, one guy was just running with the ball, bam, locked up. Really, really, frustrating.
 
is the disc finger printed or messed up at all?


hold it up to the light.... look at the aluminum layer.... see if anything is screwed :) or holes...etc.

You probably just have to wipe off the disk. Take a paper towel and lightly put some water on it. Rub from the inside to the outside all around the disk (rub towards you). It should fix the problem.
 
I know that I had a couple games that seemed more sensitive to fingerprints... it was definitely weird.

also, when you guys/gals remove the game, make sure not to pull it out dragging it over the spindle for the cd player.... it scratches discs easily.

Well, I kind of wiped it off, it hasn't happened since, but I don't think it was that. For some reason I think if you set the coaching options just so it messes up the game. Thanks for tips though.
