SNES Memories

Ares God Of War
Well I did the same for DC but Im assuming that there must be some great memories of playing SNES or NES. Post up! :)

I honestly cant remember too much but I do remember coming home for the first time and setting it up and being blown away by Super Mario World. I played that game to death.

I remember when the SNES first came out, and only my friends whose parents made good money had one. Which at the time was only one friend. :lol It was so cool. I remember being blown away by how cool Super Mario World and Link to the Past were.

When I moved to my grandma's house, one of my cousins (who was also living there at the time) had an SNES and I would play Mario Paint for hours, making music, painting, or playing that fun fly swatting game. :D I was also addicted to F-Zero and Sim City.

I finally had to get my own SNES when my cousin left. I got a rebuilt one along with Link to the Past. My cousin had also forgotten F-Zero, so I had at least two games to start with. I don't remember what my third game was though. I mostly just rented games. I do remember buying Super Mario RPG.

Even today my collection is pretty small. I didn't get to play a lot of games for the SNES, so I really don't know what all of the best games are for it. If I see a game that everyone talks about though (like Earthbound) I will usually buy it even if I haven't played it.

Super Nintendo...oh how many memories I have..

One of the best systems of all time easily. All the Nintendo first party games were wonderful, Zelda, Mario World, Super Punchout, Super Metroid...the list just goes on and on..

Great number of fighters were also on SNES that I played to death...Fatal Fury, Fatal Fury Special, Samurai Shodown, Tuff Enuff, Justice League, TMNT Turtle Fighters, Killer Instinct, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Super Street Fighter 2, Fighters History...lots and lots of great 2D fighters.

And one cannot forget the best of all the 16 bit Castlevania's....Dracula X....friggin awesome game all the way!

I had some great memories with the SNES, most of which i've forgotten about now. I do remember missing a few weeks of school due to being hit by a car and playing Mario Paint all day.

the first game I every played was Killer Instinct
I have found memories of all the platformers, specificaly Super Mario World and the Donkey Kong Countrys, also I liked the Bubsy and Rocky Rodent games and dont know why people hate them so much, sure Bubsys to Mario, but the gliding and speeding through levels was awsome!

I have so many pleasant SNES memories...

I can remember playing Super Mario World and Street Fighter 2 at my cousin's house, and falling in love with the games. And then I got a SNES and both of those games for Christmas, and put a lot of playing time into each.

Later, I got Starfox and A Link to the Past, and loved both of those games as well. A Link to the Past is actually still my favorite Zelda game. I eventually started getting into RPGs and played Chrono Trigger, which is still my favorite game of all time, and Super Mario RPG (another gem by Square).

I still play my SNES occasionally with games like Mario Kart, Super Metroid, and Contra 3 gracing my screen.

Lets see, I think my fondest memory was when I was somehwhere between 4 and 7 years old, waking up at 7:00 before my parents and breakfast to play my SNES. I specifcally remember playing Mega Man X2 and Super mario RPG for it. Good times.

The SNES was the first console that I ever played on, so yeah I have a lot of memories associated with it.

To this day, I regularly play the games that got my intersted in videogames in the first place.

I will never forget how it felt to play LoZ: Link to the Past, that game is classic, it never gets old.

When I beat Gygas the first time on Earthbound, I was all happy and stuff. The music was really cool, too.

I LOVE Sim City, but I never got into 2000, or anything above, I Adore Mario RPG because the Timed Hits thing was awesome, I love EarthBound because it was cool seeing all the people follow each other, and the battles were funny because it seemed like every day life, F-Zero was great on SNES, and Especially on N64, and my timed speed runs for LTTP are almost par to the world record...

When I first beat Chrono Trigger, I cried during the ending when Lucca had to say goodbye to Robo. :'( Seriously, tears were literally streaming down my face while I was watching it. Successful nostalgic RPGs like that move me for some strange reason... :)

I remember when I finally got to play Super Mario. I swear I just sat and listened to the opening for 5 minutes before even pressing any buttons. Then I spent a lot of time getting through the game, and still try to play it on occassion.

one of my best memories of the snes is going to target with my friend, buying donkey kong country 2,and going back to his house and playing it all day...also playing street fighter 2 and dominating!

I get that feeling when I listen to some of the music. They were emotional pieces of work. I think Chrono Trigger is the best RPG I've ever played. I could go on and on about it, but I doubt you would really want to read it all. Anyway, I really enjoyed it.
