Ok call me weird, and i know you can't judge a game before you play it but there's something inside of me that tells me this game is going to be as awesome as TWEWY was.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWr_V9qQeyY

here's the trailer of the game and right off the bat you can see that the Art style is very good and that the main theme is awesome, plus the game has a rather innovative card/harmonic battle system AND the game is held in a book way, there's going to be some puzzles and stuff a la phoenix wright.

what's interesting about the gameplay is Solving one chapter’s case changes the past which leads to a new murder. “The characters who appear are about the same, but the plot outline and puzzle are totally different.

now talking about the plot, The story revolves around Sigma Kurogami (黒上 シグマ, Kurogami Shiguma?) (voiced by Daisuke Ono), a high school student and "sound user" whose family guards a huge clock sealing off the demon Ōma. One day, his past is rewritten, causing chaos in his present. He then works with his friend Neon Tsukiyumi (月弓 ネオン, Tsukiyumi Neon?) (voiced by Aya Hirano) to solve an increasingly complex string of murder cases and return his life to normal.

(all from wikipedia because i'm lazy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigma_Harmonics)

the game already got some good reviews in japan. The game scored 8-8-7-8 (31/40) on Famitsu

Better than TWEWY? That's not saying much, I'd be hard-pressed to find a DS game that's worse than that garbage. Still, this looks like it could be a decent game. :)

What didn't you like about TWEWY? I ask because I think you're the first person I've heard say they didn't enjoy the game.

The inability to alter the characters' fates in any way whatsoever, in a ROLEPLAYING GAME (this is the company that brought us CHRONO TRIGGER, after all...) resulted in no replay value. Music lyrics got annoying after a short while. Combat was sloppy and unrefined. Dialogue was horrible, and as a result the whole game came off as being really pretentious. The inability to alter the characters' fates in any way whatsoever, in a ROLEPLAYING GAME (this is the company that brought us CHRONO TRIGGER, after all...) What I was left with was a one-time piece of forgettable gaming pop that was only good the first time through, in what I like to call "M Night Shyamalan Syndrome" (which would have been more accurate in his earlier works like The Sixth Sense or Unbreakable, when he knew how to write)

Thanks Zwei... It is nice to hear both sides of a topic. It helps to get a better feel for the subject... IMO.
