Secret of Mana was suppose to be called Final Fantasy Adventure 2 in America

i like how it says: "No computer controlled battles here!" then... "the option of having the computer control the other players." even still, anykind of A.I. implementation would mean the "computer" is controlling their side of the battle at the very least.

this preview is great historical evidence that the final fantasy adventure game for gameboy was truly seiken densetsu in disguise :)

and the final fantasy legend games were part of the SaGa series. square was certain to capitalize on the success of FF in america, weren't they? i'm glad they decided to change the name, although i'm sure that secret of mana would have been a success no matter what it was called. i have very fond memories of this game.
