whos seen scurge? its kinda like metroid. you're a girl that fights aliens, at least. i'm psyched. its going to be one of those "not AMAZING but still fun" sort of games.
speaking of games like that, i just picked up Cold Fear. Beautiful game, but came out right after RE4, so it got no recognition.
 
Is it out yet?

I believe it's Scurge: Hive. I've been looking forward to this game for a long time, but it's been delayed... and I never saw that it came out yet.

i got a copy yesterday, and i must say its pretty fun
let me say this though it is not a metroid copy
the only thing that this has that is like metroid is the story is like Metroid Fushion kinda....
but the gameplay is similar to Secret of Mana kinda....like the level up system and you get new weapons that are better against other enemies...
its a fun game i got it for DS i don't know what its like on GBA

Personally, I couldn't pull myself to not play it through.
Though I can't figure out why eurogamer gave it such a bad score. This game is much better than a lot of the crap games out there, yet some sites loved it or hated it.

I think in the end its a love it, hate it kind of thing. I think if you like secret of mana, metroid, etc. you'll like it.

Ehh..reviews don't mean everything. If it's a Children of Mana style it's probably decent.

I agree, take Legend of The Dragoon for example... terrible reviews, amazing game IMO.
Anyways,

Those were reviews for the DS version... the GBA actually got significantly better reviews, I've played both versions and I liked the DS better.
I haven't a clue why they gave the GBA better ratings, but hey, I don't get paid to review games either.
 
I heard about Scurge Hive. I read in a magazine it got pretty good reviews. I saw it in walmart and i like the idea of a female Bounty Hunter. I might pick it up later... not sure

Ahh wal-mart the epetimy of the gaming stores... lol jk,

But yes, IGN gave it an 8.0 surprisingly, and a lot of others averaged to be 7.0.
