MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.

Thank god, because large price tags and Sony mix like gun powder and a match.

not getting it.... the price was not my complain. it was the lack of an UMD and how it looks. i am quite happy with my PSP 3000 and i will stick with it for quite a long time

Good news for anyone complaining about the price, for sure!

It's not the price of the Go, it's the price of the games. You mean to tell me that I have to pay the same price for a digital copy of a game with a virtual booklet as I would the physical copy? At least lower the price by like $5 dollars. That would give more people enough reason to go: "Oh I can download games and get them cheaper! Man I should get a Go!"

I guess it's just my preference. The 3000 is way too bulky for me. I couldn't imagine playing games on that kind of PSP.

I don't see a difference. It's way more convenient to have a digital copy. You'd never lose it, and never have to worry about it breaking or being unreadable. Paying the same price for piece of mind is worth it to me. Plus, I've never been one to care about a physical copy. It just doesn't matter to me.

i don't think i'd be able to play on a Go after playing with the 3000.

it depends on the person whether or not a digital copy is more convenient or not. i prefer physical copies because i can check the instruction booklet and play at the same time (it proves very useful if you are playing a complicated game like valkyrie profile or FFT) i can simply hand it over to a friend for him to play so trading games is easy, and if i get bored of the game i can trade it in.

Again it might be ok for some people to get a Go... but for me it brings forth a plethora of cons and only one pro... not having to carry games around... and that pro along is just not enough for me.

I am however very glad that Sony still releases games on UMDs and doesn't concentrate solely on the Go.... if they did i would be very pissed.

I've never had a PSP, and I'm with Strubes on the whole physical copy/digital download debate.
I prefer digital downloads *looks at Wii Menu* they just seem easier to keep up with. *looks at buddy's DSi Menu*
And a PSP would be a great way to get back into Sony gaming, since the PS2 is starting to die and I highly doubt I will have enough $$$ to get a PS3 anytime soon.

Like I said, it's all about preference.

I would actually like a PSP Go, and the digitable distribution doesn't bother me. My only thing, what about games I already own in UMD format? They haven't come up with a way to convert those yet so I would have to buy them all over again. Also, what about import games? I don't know how that would work on the PSP Go, either.

I'm worried that for those reasons I'd have to keep my PSP 3000 around anyway, so why bother at this point.

Still have my PSP-1000 from launch but if the GO does get a nice price drop and so do the games I could end up getting one :)

I'd never get a Go for a few reasons. 1; Can't just go pick up a used game or 2 from a local store. 2; Can't borrow discs to friends since there is no discs, 3; Can't trade in or swap games when done since there is no discs, 4; A lot of times I like to just pop in different games and play them for a little bit, I don't want to have to commit to a big download for a game I may play only a few times a month. 5; Kinda lame of them to get rid of the standard mini USB plug. 6; Still on the expensive side for what it is. 7; I don't like having to rely on a wireless connection to download games {which I've heard is super slow to download games} 8; Smaller screen is fail.

I guess it's good for some reasons, but I simply cannot find any reason to waste my money on one.

I agree with all of those things cept points 4 and partially 7.

4. You can download the game over again from the PS Store, so if you only played it a couple times, you can delete it, and free room, with the option to download again at a later time if you wanted to.

7. You can download using a USB since the PSP Go uses a USB charger. If you look at the charging cable of the PSP Go, you'll understand that it can separate in half, unveiling the USB cable. Thus being able to download PSP games through the PS3 if you have one using a wired connection. However, all games I've downloaded wirelessly through it have rarely ever exceeded 10 minutes.

About number 4; a lot of times I just want some quick action, so I will pop in a racing game and play for about 30 minutes or so. However, I may only do that a few times a month. So either way I would be in a bind, because I wouldn't want a game I hardly play taking up space, but it would defeat the purpose of quick action if I had to sit and download it when I just wanna play for half hour or so.

Like I said, for me and my needs, the Go just doesn't work. But everybody is different, and for some the Go works :)

Exactly. :)

My Go currently has over 30 games on it with plenty of space left. :)

Really? I can't even see myself owning more than 30 for a handheld, so that is pretty good.

That's the last thing people were complaining about with the PSPgo. :lol

Seems to actually be the biggest thing people were complaining about. Check the popular forums of the interwebz. :)
