Revolution - least powerfull?

Graphics don't really mean much to me, but I saw in the Xbox 360 forum that the Revolution may have the least best graphics. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Personally I think it will be least powerful because:

1) Nintendo has stated many times that they are not focusing on better technology for their next console, and that they're trying to innovate rather than just making a powerful system.

2) After seeing the size of the Revolution, there's no way the hardware can be as powerful as the PS3 or the Xbox 360. Its just too small.

Actually... we'll have to wait and see. Nothing was released.... just a console "look" to get people talking about the revolution.

Nintendo has never been "least powerful." I think they will come up with something awesome.... which is why they didn't have everything put together for E3. I seriously think they are playing a "lets wait, look, see, reinvent / redraw, and then post out their system" strategy.

I seriously think they are just watching what everyone has to offer. They are not going to rush out the system 1st. They are going to counteract on what the other systems do. I think this is smart for them right now.

I honestly think Nintendo's system will not be least powerful.

I think Microsoft is very worried about the Ps3 as well.... Microsoft stated they were the most powerful until they saw the Ps3. Even Msoft stated "thats a nice system they have going there." I am very leary of PS3's specs. Why? The graphics card alone costs around $1000. my buddy priced out specs on a PC like a Ps3... and it was over $4000.... and either The Ps3 is going to have a mammoth price, or something is not right.... which is why I am leary and cautious of that... At least there is no way for a good price... even 1 year from now.

Xbox... I think that system will be what they state... its the most believable at this time.

But the revolution...... I am sure Nintendo has some killer stuff up their sleeve. Remember folks... The more power you get, the more you will have to pay. we love to have power, but at what price? I think Nintendo (as usual) will come up with a solid product with a good price.

It may have just been speculation on GameFAQs, but someone said to expect it around $400-$500.

Hence the reason they're being so secretive about it. They didn't show their controllers either, because two of their ideas, being analog sticks and rumble packs, were stolen and used. They're also making Sony and MS pretty shaky as well, neither really know what to expect.

The PS3 at $400-500... I would be VERY suprised if it was under $700 for whats in it.
How can they keep it cheap? $400-500 may be correct..... but I cannot see it under $700 for some reason.

The revolution is making Sony and MS shakey? I never heard about that.

Ya, I heard $465 for the PS3 from an interview at IGN.

Keep in mind Sony is an electronics manufacturer (so they're not gonna pay retail price on anything in the PS3) and they're not afraid to take a hit in their profit on the system if they can sell twice as many as the competition.

That is true, but at the same time, looking at a multiconsole game on the PS2 and on the Xbox, you gotta feel a little cheated out if you're playing it on the PS2.

Sony doesnt make the chips in its console, I believe IBM does. Correct me if im wrong.

That is true. I believe the videocard is also made by ATI. My point was that a giant company like Sony is not gonna pay retail price for these items. Whatever they can't make themselves they buy at wholesale prices and whatnot.

Yeah but now that video games are becoming extremely popular, these other companies want a piece of the cut. Which is why so many manufacturers try to outbid the other in order to produce chips and other electronics for the new systems. So in other words Sony might not pay full price, but in the end they will pay with the profits that they make for each unit they sell.

Well I was responding to BV's statement about his friend "pricing out" the system. I was reminding him that Sony's not gonna pay full retail price for everything in the PS3, so his friend's price could have been inflated because of that.

yeah.. I do understand they'll get bulk price discounts.... but I couldn't imagine them getting better tahn 50% off list price...

maybe I am wrong... maybe they'll get that graphics card for $200 instead of $1000+ ... BUT STILL.... thats only 1 part of the system @ $200.

I doubt the revolution will be least powerfull..... actually... my guess is that it will be the medium system. Am I suggesting that 360 will be the least powerful? not really... but we'll have to see.

From what I hear Nintendo wants it to be as powerful as the 360.

Again my Rumor mill

Don't quote me on this but the XBOX360 MAY BE hackable to play Revolution/Gamecube games. Not Via emu either.......

I also hear it will have as much ram as the 360. So it might even out power the POS3.
