Resident Evil 6 Thread (yeah, it's obvious)

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Yeah, Kenji Inafune will be in charge of this one. A complete reboot of the series they claim and they want it asap.

I don't like the sound of this. If it's a reboot, don't make it a "sequel." RE6 should either continue the story or end it.

I'll still get it though. :-[

you know i have yet to play RE5 and i know i am way overdue but was it that bad?

Not really, just short & sweet. I don't think it was BAD. The storyline got silly, but the final add-ons made up for it.

my boyfriend has the PC version and i think my laptop can run it so should i give it a try or get the gold edition?

I say try out the first few chapters before you get the Gold Edition. The GE has the extra DLC that tells the stories of Jill, Chris and Jacob. So if you like it, you can continue the story.

^ Which is not found in the PC edition btw.

Honestly, no. It's just not as good as 4, 2 or the Remake. Much better than 0 and 3.

RE5 was cool, sure. It got silly though quickly and wasn't scary anymore. I want to be scared!

I hear that a lot, what GM said. Which makes me wonder how it is much better than 0 or 3 which were both excellent games. Just curious.

They're good games, just not as good as the rest. I personally wouldn't call them excellent. RE3 was quite repetitive despite allowing you to choose how to proceed during certain scenarios. RE0 had that buddy system that gets quite frustrating at times.

The one awesome redeeming quality that came from those two games was the quick spin move, which appeared in RE3.

The progression through RE5 should've been expected and is natural. It's the same characters that have appeared in previous REs. So why wouldn't they know how to kick ass against monsters? The original games were scarier because the genre was relatively new. Now, so many Survival Horror games are out that gamers are desensitized to them. That's my theory anyways.

Quite true, Creepin', though I can think of some survival horrors that can still put a veteran on edge in sequences.

IMO... I would really be happy if this wasn't a play off from the end of RE:5... <Spoiler for Zi to avoid>
Wesker being finished off in the end seemed to be a key to the end of the saga. Though I'm sure there's a completely irrelevant plot that can be within the same RE world, without conflicting with this, or throwing in a story plot that brings back the same'ol characters, and the same situations once more.

Personally, it felt like there wasn't enough closure for me. I mean, it could've executed that much better.
