PSP price leak

supposively the PSP price was leaked...

don't count on this to be 100% true.... but you are looking to drop $350 on the PSP.

ouch...

Any links to support this?

I just don't see it happening. Sony may be greedy but they're not stupid. The DS would cream the PSP with suge a huge price difference.

The PSP is many things and I eventually want to get one, but it's not worth $350. That high of a price sounds like anti-Sony propaganda.

I do not have a link to support this at the time..

but like I said.. its a rumor so far... and it was from a PSP prospective buyer.... they wanted to get it.

GC Advanced
Nintendo Philes

Supposively.... it was linked by Gamespot..... but then was retracted due to them breaking a rule.

I need more like 80 dollars Handheld units but i guess those days are gone :(, if they actually tried to charge 350 bucks they are RETARDS, who would spend that much on a handheld unit and still only get 1 battery that doesn't last all that long.

best to wait and see what the price actually turns out to be, just watch the launch in japan.

what does the $289 version have with it?

you know... I am still having a hard time with $150 for a handheld.... let alone $200-289... :-\

why can't handhelds be back at the $100 price range?!

I definately wouldn't want to pay that much, and still think that $150 is too much.

Heck, for $350 you could just add a bit more and get a laptop...

Guys...i know for a fact that the PSP is going to be $190 and thats 100% true. But i wouldn't buy it because the only difference between the PSP and the $150 DS is that PSP has video playback and the DS will soon include it seperately for $49.99. Also..of course, the graphics are different...the PSP is supposed to have graphics that are leaning toward PSone graphics but slightly better and the DS has N64 graphics and everyone knows that N64 graphics are better then "slightly better then PSone" graphics. If I were you I woyuld choose the DS over the PSP. And just to repeat myself..I am 100% sure that the PSP will be $190.

I own a DS and Ridge Racer DS, but let's be realistic here. The PSP is graphically the much more powerful handheld.

Yeah, I'll have to agree with Heartbreak One on this. Not that the DS graphics are bad, but not very comparable to the PSP.

unfortunately (Nintendo fan speaking) thats the truth...

but hey... graphics aren't everything :)
I like good graphics... but I'd much rather have a game with good gameplay.

My thoughts exactly, except for the "Nintendo fan speaking" part. I take whatever system offers me the greatest amount of games that I want to play.

There's an import store at the mall that is already selling the Japanese PSP. They have the value pack and it's $550. One of the guys that worked there said no one's bought one yet, though. They also have most of the launch games, but there weren't any price stickers on them and I forgot to ask.

anyone going to be picking this up at the $190 price?

I have mine preordered at EB. I think $190 is a stellar price for what they're offering. I would have paid $300, but I won't complain about the current price.

so you like it better than the DS?

or do you think they are both unique enough to own?

I am just curious :) thats all.

I haven't had a chance to play a psp yet.... but I can say I wasn't happy about paying $150 for a DS. I want handhelds @ around $100... but thats me I guess....
I definitely won't pay $190 for a psp... even though I was happy to pay $190 for a Turbo Express.... go figure I guess :lol
Maybe the turbo express happiness came from the original $350-400 price.
