Ps3 delayed to March in Europe. 100k at launch in Japan/400k USA. - What?

That's crazy. I'm open-mouthed.

But here's Europe getting that shaft again. x-p
 
I am not surprised by far. Sony is really positioning themselves for an angry mob...and it baffles me that some people are trying to convince themselves that the price is not a problem.
 
to put these numbers in perspective....

400,000 console ssystems IS 100,000 LESS AT LAUNCH than the Xbox 360. I don't think anymore will be available until 2007 then.
Wow... That is going to be one heck of a tight release...

This makes me giggle on the inside. If people thought the 360 was hard to come by at launch, then the PS3 will be so much harder.

eBay prices will be through the roof! If the mere $400 360 went for prices over one grand, the PS3 will probablly be going for 1250 or more.
 
probably... hey... if people want to spend that to get PS3 systems... then so be it. I just hope there isn't too large of a defect problem because that will make the supply even shorter.

The 360 may have been in short supply on launch, but at least MS delivered with the worldwide launch. Accoriding to the Wiki, USA/Canada got it Nov 22, Europe on December 2, and Japan on Dec 10. So within 3 weeks it was out worldwide.
