Based on Diamond and Pearl, another installment to this series.

I was hoping it could be a remake of Silver.
 
this might sound weird coming from the person that sold diamond but i might give pokemon D/P universe one more chance (now that the blockbuster of my area lets you retn DS games)
 
Yes, I am gonna have to be the first in line to get it!!! PLatinum seems to have some features that are going to make it worth it to own.

Like tapeworm Giratina and Underground Wi-Fi enabled? That ain't enough.
 
Well a Battle Island, wi-fi enabled underground, Graphical Updates are always nice, new pokemon images, updated pokedex, new gym leaders and story elements, and I must admit the Team Galaxy is one hilarious bunch of minions. PLus pokemon never gets old, there is so much to expect. Oh and maybe even new individualized pokemon openings when they first appear out of their pokeballs.
 
Graphical updates? Not likely. Battle Island? Seen it...many, many times. New images? Yeah, but the only ones that matter are Shaymin and Giratina. New Gym Leader? One, also seen before. Story elements? Mild variations on the same basic story.

Well, it did need its third to go with Yellow, Crystal, and Emerald.


And besides, the third is usually the best.

Fire Red and Leaf Green didnt have a third, and I liked leaf better than any of the other GBA or DS games. Then again, I like watching paint dry better than the DS games.

Fire Red and Leaf Green were remakes of Red and Green in order to update them so more people could get them. Of course they wouldn't remake Blue and/or Yellow a year later.

When is it gonna be relesed in the US? I saw it was releasing fall 2008 in Japan, but not US.
 
Based on past releases for the Pokemon games, we can expect if it releases in the fall of japan to release here about 6-9 months later, thus pinning it for a Spring release.
 
I have been wanting diamond or pearl since they came out and just haven't found the money to get them because I either don't have it or spend it on another game I want more. Now with this I don't know if I should wait for Platinum or get Diamond or Pearl sooner if possible. Ahhh I am so confused haha.
