Sorry it's been awhile. I hope all has been well.

I've canned new registrations until the spam bots are under control. So far, it looks like they stopped trying as of 6-16-2011. I'm going to take care of deleting spammer accounts. Please help us locate and kill spam topics if there are any left... if there spammers we missed, please send the mod squad (or myself) a message... and we'll delete them.

We are moving to a new server... and the boards will be upgraded soon. I found I cannot upgrade until we make it to the new server. There are a few errors with the upgrade and I need to take care of that... and hopefully the new upgrade will allow for us to re-open registration.

So... what do you all think about the forums? Are you all still enjoying them? Are they not being used as much? Let us know what you think about the forums...etc.

On another topic... I enabled 150 characters for the signature. Enjoy :lol

I actually still enjoy coming to these forums and honestly It is a really good habit of mine to come here and check the recent unread topics. Sure it is not as active as it used to be but that is good for me because i don't have as much time as i used to so to be able to post in short bursts really helps me out.
 
I still love the place. Been a few bumps here and there for me recently online and irl that have caused me to be less active than usual, but I still check the boards out any chance I get.

When it comes to the spam, I try to keep a watch on the 16 and 8 bit stuff, because that is where I mostly live. :)
 
See... I enable sigs... and the post count plummets.

forum Changes coming soon. Unfortunately, we will lose some of our current functionality. This board was modded a lot... and those mods will be lost. Regardless... spam bots will be under control and a clean up effort will ensue.

Hasn't post count been dropping for months?
I spend a lot of time here, but I'm a conversation contributor, not a conversation starter. I rarely see new topics anymore.
 
This is the first time I saw this thread. I like the sig thing. I had noticed "there is no spoon before" n a day right after I had rewatched that matrix movie again :D But I dunno what I woulfd do for my own sig. I would have to think for awhile. Hellscythe sig looks like he is a green lantern. Anyhow, I don't think posts dropping off had to do with u giving people sigs, but u already knew that. I have been trying to check here regularly now that I have internet again, but feels like not many people talking very much on here. Perhaps, we ran out of stuff to say? :o
 
I've also kinda been hanging out on the ABNation forums. I still check out EGA a couple times a day, but I spend most of my time posting on ABN. They're just bigger/more active.

Haha, I love Myles Kennedy more than video games. And they have a pretty active video game discussion thread. It's a cool place to hang out. There's almost always 15+ members online, keeps the discussions going.

Well we could use a few more active member here. I mean when I used to be on nintendo forums the place was so busy that u practically got lost trying to have any sort of discussion on a topic, but on the other hand u don't want a dying forum either. THis place used to be a lot more lively, but we banned a bunch of the main regular members and then a number of other ones got bored and left and then sometimes u would get a member that made other members feel like leaving, so that all sorta ruins things a bit. It's nice when there are enough active people to answer questions and have a fun time, but not so many that it feels like stragers instead of like a big fam er something. I hope I can get a couple of my siblings to join.
