Personally, I think the PS3 is going to be just as good as the Wii and the Xbox 360 but it's just the prices of everything PS3-related that'll turn a lot of people off.

The PS3 is truly excelllent and spectacular, I would take out a credit card to bid for one! It is going to have some of the greatest and lenghtiest games to date and its attention to detail will win the gold. I am looking for that experience in sound!

Well, the Wii already has a GOTY game in its library. :p

i put my vote in as good simply becouse of the lack of freakin games... and the ones that it does have is just ports from the 360. but give it bout 6 months and it will be the shining horse of the industry..
 
I like the PS3 and the other day I was thinking about the price. And to let you know, I love my 360 and would never give it up, but the PS3 (the 60GB Version) has WIFI Built-in and if you needed that for the 360 it would cost you $99.99 for the adapter. The PS3 has a Blue-Ray built-in for movies, the 360 has you pay an extra $199.99 for the HD-DVD Add-on. The 360 has a 20GB HD and the PS3 has a 60GB HD, yet another option that costs more. So, a Premium Xbox 360 with all that the PS3 has will run you $699.97 plus you would need to add the cost of the 60GB HD. So, the PS3 really is not that over-priced when you think about it.
 
no it is not over priced it is very much under priced.. obout 400 dollars so. freaking blue ray player alone cost 700 - $1000 dollars.. but come on a few more games please!!! im dying here.. and very impatient
 
Idk, I've learned the best opinion is your own. GI can't speak for everyone, or even the majority of people. I'm a subscriber to GI, but I can't help to think they're biased...or at least some of the staff is.
 
Yea, I can agree with that. It's weird with GI, sometimes they are really good about not being biased and sometimes not. Like you said, it just depends who's writing the article.
 
I suppose I'm the only one to say "Bad!" Hehe..
I'm not particularly interested in the extreme price or the extreme lack of interesting games.
Or perhaps the extreme (three times!!12121) potential for hardware failure?

Maybe next year.

Out of about 82,000 gamers, roughly 50,000 rate the PS3 as being the worst.
 
despite all it offers... I still think $600 for a home console is too much. IMO $400 is borderline.

SpartanEvolved, that's some very interesting stats. I don't like the Wii much. I just dislike how they're targeting audiences that aren't the sort of people that would normally play videogames. It's TOO accessible if you get me. Since posting this I've decided that the PS3 is definitely the wrong way to go. If I had to choose between the PS3 and its entire games library and an Xbox 360 with Gears of War, I'd go with the 360 every time.

The only issue with the Wii is younger kids trying to get use to the controls. Not as easy as they said. I have twin 6 yr old boys and they pickup the 360 and PS3 Controllers in games a lot easier and have been gamers since 2.
