I wanted to preemptively start this topic, since we're getting close now.

Main E3 conferences:

Monday, June 6th:

Microsoft - 9am Pacific, 12pm Eastern - Xbox.com stream here and Microsoft news center stream will be somewhere here.Gamespot stream for backup. And here is the GT E3 stuff, info/streams. Also Spike TV will be showing this conference commercial free.

EA - 12:30pm Pacific, 3:30pm Eastern - Gamespot stream. And again the the GT E3 stuff, info/streams.

Ubisoft - 2:30pm Pacific, 5:30pm Eastern - Gamespot stream. And again the the GT E3 stuff, info/streams.

Sony - 5:00pm Pacific, 8pm Eastern - PS Blog official stream should be here the day of, they'll also be streaming booths and stuff afterward Also here is the Gamespot stream for backup as well as the GT E3 stuff, info/streams.

Tuesday, June 7th:

Nintendo - 9am Pacific, 12pm Eastern - Official Nintendo stream is here. Gamespot stream for backup, and again the the GT E3 stuff, info/streams.

E3 2011 Thread (pre-game show)

Alright, you the people. The readers and posters. How would you like this done? Either 1) Post links for everything that happens or 2) Twitter sized post with 140 characters per post with a link attached to it?

Here's how I think this should work.

If we do Twitter sized posts, we could post something like, "Microsoft just showed off Gears that uses Kinect" and then if people wanted to discuss that further, someone could post a topic in the 360 section that goes into more detail, including relevant links and/or videos.

We could then link to that topic here for those who read this topic first.
 
Yeah, MS was pretty weak this year. With nothing new hardware-wise, you would think they would show a lot more games and not just for Kinect.

Halo 4 will get the fans excited, but don't announce a new trilogy for it. They're gonna beat that thing to death. Also, the Witcher 2 360 gameplay would have been nice.
 
True, but Halo 4 is just another Halo. So it's nothing really new game-wise. I think it's time for MS to start looking into a new console. It's obviously run its course if all they have is Halo. All the other franchises are pretty much done, like Gears, too.

Oh yeah, wasn't saying it was a new game. But just something that will get the fans excited. Microsoft might start looking into a console soon, but nothing would be announced until at least 2013. I doubt they would try and trump Halo 4 with a new console announced next year.
 
Halo 4, Halo CE HD both are going to be great.
Modern Warfare 3 looks just as amazing as ever.
All the new Kinect features and games actually got me excited for Kinect. I've been thinking of getting an Xbox for a while. (Halo, Hydro Thunder Hurricane) but still, nothing too good to justify buying another system.
Yeah, Microsoft will probably be the weakest of the three major conferences, but hey, aren't they always? ;)

I need new underpants. The FrostBite 2 Engine video is absolutely stunning. Forget all the other FPS games. This one is going to rock.

Dang, you got to it first. I was going to say that exact…same…thing.
My jaw literally kind of dropped open and I got a long chill when they showed the release date.

Best thing at E3 so far. I'm not even sure Nintendo's whole conference, with everything they've got this year, can beat those 15 minutes of Battlefield 3.

Also, in other, less exciting news (but still exciting) Far Cry 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Well that conference gave me a lot of mixed feelings.... for over an hour the conference just outright disappointed me... nothing at all I was interested in, it was all about move this move that and 3D for games I don't care much about (nothing that really caters me).... there were no big surprises that I cared about.

Then Vita came on screen and the info they provided satisfied me, I felt that I got what I wanted to know about Vita (and I was excited about Street fighterXTekken)

but other than that... no big surprises, nothing that really took my breath away just boredom for an entire hour....but I am still heavily excited for PSVITA and I can't wait to get my hands on it
 
Sony hands down beat Microsoft this year, which surprised me.

Also since everyone seems to be just following the press conferences, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online will be coming out this summer, with GGPO (which is the greatest thing Capcom could ever do), for $14.99.

So Third Strike is not a complete HD Remix like Super SFII? Still cool though. I'll take an upscaled Third Strike over HD Remix any day.

They didn't wanna mess up 3S like they did with HDR. Plus GGPO for 3SOnline on console is all I could ever ask for.
 
I think Microsoft had a weak showing.

Sony surprised me with the price of the Vita. Considering all that it's supposed to be able to do, $249.99 and $299.99 is pretty good. I use AT&T already, so if I end up getting a Vita (which is a possibility), then I can take advantage. :D

I have to say, the trailer that really got me excited the most was actually FFXIII-2, though, with it's hinting at a possible alternate universe where Lightning is dead setting. Or something. That seems to be the gist of it.

I'm waiting to see what Nintendo brings to the table.

As am I. This is Nintendo's E3 to lose. New console and 3DS should hopefully bring some awesome titles. Fingers crossed.
 
I just hope Nintendo doesn't mess up again otherwise this E3 will be one of my least favorites in history due to dropped potential... I hope they at least give enough information to get me excited for project cafe and that they announce more 3DS titles
