Extremely late to the party, but the PS2 will live on longer than we expected. Much like the Sega Master System and Sega Genesis, Brazil is the reason why most video game consoles gain an "extra life" if you will.
 
Why on Earth is stuff in Brazil so expensive? I mean granted they are just now launching the PS2 there but why are they charging so much?

I'm assuming it's their economy GDP is very high at $1.5 Trillion that effects the cost of living.
 
it's not only brazil... it's all of south America... in my country GBA games were UBER EXPENSIVE
