Man, that's freaking awesome! Sega Genesis games on the Revolution!!

You can't beat that. Golden Axe is so going to be mine. Oh yeah, and all those Sonic games that were on the Genesis, too. :p

This is so very awesome, but why are you all saying"Genesis games!!"and not TG16/duo games!!!After all, many of the best Genesis games have been ported to other systems already, but turbo grafx games?Almost none.So I GuitarWizard will take up the cry...

Who wouldn't agree with that? :p

So this means I can finally trash that old Genesis unit I still have! XD

Don't you dare trash that Genesis mister! It would be throwing out an old pet or your grandparent for godsakes! :(

I'm stunned....   This is very very very cool... but I'm a bit worried what this will do to retailers like me (there are tons out there) that house older games and all... I wonder how much of a price drop will occur, or how badly everything will drop in sales / price.

I 100% agree, this is very cool... I just hope it doesn't hurt a lot of sellers out there.  I know that sounds stupid on a consumer stand point, but those that make a living selling warehousing, selling, and distributing older games....  it is a little worrysome.

I wonder if they'll allow merchants to sell these games like Ipod tunes and all....

Have you thought how WEIRD it would be play Wanderers from Ys, or Lords of Thunder on the Nintendo Revolution? LOT has one of the best sound tracks made for any game...

Nah I wouldnt worry. The value of the REAL game will increase :) Happens to most Genesis games as well! Ristar on Genesi was worth nothing back in it's time. Yet as soon as it appeared as a hidden game on Sonic Mega Collection (Cube/PS2/Xbox) people wanted the cart. So I've seen it go for $12-18 a pop

Consumers always think that if they have the REAL game in their hands, it's worth a tad more then some program you can download on the net hehe.

You mentioned the games that I am most excited about after hearing this news BV...Y's,and Lords of Thunder.
that's right... it wasn't "wanderers from ys" on the TG was it? it was just Ys 2 and 3.... and then wanderers from ys 3 was on the Snes..... I always get that mixed up.

I just hope it doesn't hurt a lot of sellers out there.

I don't think it will. I mean, chances are the people that would normally purchase those games would be collectors, or desperately wanted to play the original game for the original system. I mean, the fact that roms do exist and that there are still people interested in purchasing the actual product does say something.

I hope there are some quality 3rd party controller ports for the Rev. It would be nice to play Road Rash, Vectorman, NHL 97, and Comix Zone with the original controls, otherwise it could be frustrating to adjust to GC ones. I mean, after so many years of playing those games, it just becomes 100% instinct.
