NiGHTS to be here by Christmas...at least for American consumers

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/16/nights-coming-december-18-for-us-january-2008-for-europe/

Good news for Americans: NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is confirmed for a December 18 release in North America, meaning that Wii owners can get their dream on in time for the holiday season.

Unfortunately for European Wii owners, NiGHTS will miss the holiday 2007 release in Europe, instead coming out sometime in January 2008. On the plus side, European readers, you might not really be missing much.

December 18th...gives me a game to look forward to this holiday season for the Wii. :)

emmm isn't that the whole point of why is finally getting a sequel, and a wii exclusive? to play with the wii remote to simulate the action that you are flying

OMG What a Concept!!!

i guess you don't read nintendo power at all....the reason the developers didn't make a sequel is because the analog didn't gave the same feeling as the original control, that's why the wii is perfect for this game

Yea I dont. Nintendo Power and almost every gaming magazine is losing their touch. And how does the wiimote feel the same as the original?

It's an easy concept to grasp Fr0dus....you move left with the Wiimote, you move left in NiGHTS. It's the perfect game for the Wii.

I doubt it. They are going to make it appeal to the widest audience and therefore use the Wiimote. Not everyone that has a Wii has Gamecube controllers and not everyone has the classic controller, but they all have Wiimotes. It would limit the potential customer base if they made it classic/GC controller only.

@ Frodus, I suggest waiting until it's actually out before you declare that the Wiimote is not good for Nights.

I just dont like the Wiimote in general

EDIT: And all I said was for the OPTION for a different control format.

Sorry, I read your post wrong. My bad.

But I don't understand your stance. Why have a Wii at all if you don't like the Wiimote? That defeats the whole purpose.

I like the franchises thats why. I have a power glove but do I like using that... No

The Power Glove =/= Wiimote. You didn't need a Power Glove to play the best games on the NES. But the best Wii games (LoZ, RE4, MP3) all use the Wiimote.

I was just giving an example of what I have but not use. This is confusing me now so ill leave it at that.

As for LoZ:TP I liked the Gamecube version better and feel it was more intuitive for controls.
As for RE4 again above. And it was the best version on the Gamecube IMO.
And for MP3... It felt the same. Made me wanna pick up the Wii again but didnt last.

And I'm betting you know this since you read them all the time. Really, can't criticize a magazine for 'losing their touch' if you don't read it.
