You sir, are a fool.
This has been confirmed as a real picture for the upcoming game.

Miyamoto has confirmed the game for a 2010 release, and wants us to note that Link is lacking a sword. He says that it will be a key concept to the game.

Link lacking a sword? could it be that the game will be more magic based? or something like that? i kinda doubt that miyamoto would totally take away link's sword though.

Notice the diamond like symbol on the Zora, it's the same as the Master Sword. Fhq and I have kinda figured that the Zora may be Link's "sword"

that's a weird. but i can see what you guys are saying so you might be right. also look at her skirt, it looks like the handle of the master sword

did Miyamoto say anything about where this game fits in the timeline?

At least it'll be another game that plays like TP. I don't care too much for the Cel-shaded games. I'd rather the realistic approach.

And yeah, I noticed that about the Zora. That'd be some wild stuff if we used her as a sword. :P

well in the zelda front i am happy with Nintendo, Spirit tracks covers my cel-shaded love an this one my realistic love so can't argue there.

What did you not like about the TP gameplay?

It wasn't the gameplay itself. It was how linear it was. I was presented this hyrule that looked beautiful that but, it felt too linear to explore. It's weird but, you get what I mean?

Yea exactly! I gotta be honest, though, I am not fond with the idea of no sword, but somehow Nintendo always finds a way to make things work, so it could be awesome. I think the best thing to do with Zelda is not try to compare it to the older games or else you will be disappointed. Can't wait to see more on this!

Meh...I'll wait for more info before I can get excited for this. I'm not the biggest Zelda fan so I'm a little wary after Twilight Princess.

I actually have liked the cel-shaded Zeldas more recently. I still haven't finished Twilight Princess, to be quite honest. So I'll wait until there's more info on this new Zelda before I start fangirling over it. ^_^

Yeah, I get what you mean. I just liked the gameplay. I think they executed it very well, IMO.

So do I. Well, cel-shaded games in general. They just flow so much smoother than traditional graphics, which in turn actually gives off a better impression of realism.

Dusting off this project.

Nintendo confirmed that the next Zelda game for Wii will utilize Wii MotionPlus for sword combats and other areas which require precision.

Hinting at the new Zelda game's atmosphere may take place in "Flight". Which makes sense, Link was at Sea, He was on Land as a Wolf, and now....in the air...
