This game looks great on IGN. They gave it a 9.5 which ties Mario Kart for being the highest ranked game on the site.

New Super Mario Bros. marks the first time in 15 years that Nintendo's created a classically-designed Super Mario game - Super Mario World ended the plumber's starring role in the 2D platformer series. Yoshi may have picked up the gauntlet in a labeled sequel a couple years later, but outside of a few nods here and there in spinoffs like Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi, Mario hasn't starred in this Plumber Saves the Princess role in a side-scrolling platformer since the Super NES launch title.

If I get my DS Lite in June this will be the first game I buy.
 
Any links to show the game?? I have been bugging my wife because I still want Super Mario 3 for the SP. And of course Mario Kart DS. And I may attempt on picking this up if it's got that classic flavor to it.
 
that looks really awesome, I want to use that super mushroom that makes you huge :lol

Second highest on the site? Or just for the DS? I know that Jade Empire got a 9.8.
 
Buying it today if I am able - that is to say if the stores are stocked.
