New Nintendo DS model coming this year (It's an Ipod Touch's nightmare)

and I have no problems with the button layout on the Original DS... plays well..

Mai --> you are absolutely correct. My hands literally start falling asleep after awhile. the PSP is the only other handheld that caused my hands to do that.

[UPDATED] Nikkei Business Daily reported that Nintendo plans to launch a new model of Nintendo DS which can take pictures, play music and have advanced wireless functions by the end of the year. Monex Securities also reported that the new model will also have a larger LCD screen and a built-in SD card slot, allowing you to read data from Wii. The price of the new machine is expected to be below 20,000 yen (US$189), compared with 16,800 yen for the current model. Nintendo has not confirmed this info.

Yeah.. That's ridiculous. That's what I have a camera and a... um... PSP/MP3 player for.
 
but again this is to give other people the option of whether they want a camera or not.... nobody is commanded to buy it but it's at least nice to have the option...

If the DS Lite is 16,800 yen, then it costs about $30 more in Japan than it does here. I think it's safe to assume that the new DS will cost less than $190 when it's released here. (I'm thinking maybe $170 or $160 which is relatively reasonable).

Oh, no thanks. Imagine it. Shoving the two screens and their proper dimensions into the TV, the amount of jaggies you'd get from expanding the image, it'd be bad. In fact, NP uses one such adapter to get DS screens and does in fact say it sucks.
