My grandma is on the internet

My grandma just got her first computer a month ago. She’s pretty good at the point and click thing. She wants to learn Photoshop. It’s pretty cute to see this little 76-year-old lady on the internet. We both got an easy video chat app (http://www.oovoo.com/) so that we can have conversations without her having to type. I also put voice recognition on her computer, but she prefers typing because she used to be a typist in the 60’s and hasn’t used those skills in a while. She is pretty into Neopets too, which I think is funny. Anyone else have older relatives on the internet?

:lol My 70 year old grandma jut started with the internet too. It takes her like an hour to type a sentence and she can't do anything so it's pretty funny. My grandpa...ugh let's just say he managed to fill up my ENTIRE Gmail account (roughly 1.8 gigs), almost single handedly. He doesn't do ANYTHING but send e-mails.
 
My parents use the internet for e-mail and such. I really just find it funny that they have a Gamecube and play video games more than I do...! :lol
 
my grandma started it a few months ago.....but my grandpa has a hard time getting off(thats how addicted he is.) :lol
 
Neopets? Sweet... that place... I left there not too long ago, it became too "kiddy" for me. It started as a college site...

Same here. My Grandpa has nothing to do but email and copy DVD's he rents from the the library illegally (this isn't a joke. My grandpa's completely off his nut) so I get sent so many emails, if I don't check it once a day, it get's completely filled.
 
:( you people have cool grandparents. Mine don't use the internet. In fact, I think I'm the only one in my family that uses the internet as frequently like I do. :'( My dad only uses it to get DVD's and stuff, my mum. Well she desn't even know how to use a computer. As for the rest of my family, I think my sister and brother are the only ones who use the internet. But I only know that my sister uses her e-mails and stuff. Nothing else. :( Hmm... must.... get.... family.... to join forum!!!!!!!! ::D
 
my grandma is like 50 or something not that old you know but she can use it better than most teenagers can which is pretty amusing for me :D
 
On one forum I used to go to there was one member who was well into his forties. He was really cool too, he owned his own ranch or some such and had a ton of interesting stories.

im taking a class now in high school to help me with that
