It doesn't seem people are realy getting into the forum posting thing. Or even into chat. I reckon that its time that we started putting together ideas to boost the activity throughout the whole of the site. Put some ideas in here and get this site back up to its peak! :rockin
For instance, why don't we send off invites through the internet. So people who receive them might decide to join.
 
That would be really cool! But then couldn't people jsut say it's spam? I tall my friends of this site. Just email the name of the site to people you know to join-then have them send it to another friend. If anyone has a website or knows someone that does, have them put up an ad for this site on theirs. I don't know....

I post as much as I can :) Games just aren't exciting so much until stuff comes out for the christmas season. There'll be a boost in posts. Watch.

Tell your friends that there is more than just video games being talked about here, and they can post about what they like if they want.

Keep posting up ideas to get things flowing again!
You know... if 15 people would just post 10 per day... (which is not much)... that would be 150 posts just from them... And if that is spread out all over the board (not just in general discussion) you would see an improvement in traffic... and people posting. IF there are fresh posts to read and respond to (in old and new topics)... you will get people to post.

Everytime I tell my friends that I own a Neogeo, and that is all I play (well except for my computer), they are like, "What is that?" And then when I tell them, they are like, "Oh, well, I play Halo, or World of Warcraft". I can't even get them to play my Neo let alone join this site. :'(

They might say its spam, but among the invites we can convince them in thinking that it is not spam at all, but a genuine invite to a full internet community.

Trial and error. Try to get their attention through links of things that you and your friends enjoy.

Just another way to get people to join, or boost posts. Open up more sections for different topics. Like sports for example.

Sweet idea. If we can acheive that, that 10000 mark will be here in days. Then not even the skys the limit.

Ideas are allready flowing. We got to keep thinking. Work together to get the site moving like rapids to a waterfall! :rockin

Same here. Most of my friends are casual gamers, and certainly wouldn't want to spend time chatting about games......

I do try to mention it, but I doubt it doesa me any good. They think I like games too much.
 
BV, what ever happened to advertising our site? Or was it that funds weren't as high as you thought? I'm jus curious what happened to that.

I am still checking some things out. I have a few other "fires" that have to be put out 1st... and one other project I have to get finished. Then I will be back at that :)
But yes... upon initial trial, it didn't do as well as I thought. ... I did a trial ad for 2 min on the frontpage... and it was giving "sex addiction" links... :huh :hh

BUT.... any way you can help start up the egameaddiction.com Wiki site again?

WHO CARES IF YOUR FRIENDS LAUGH AT YOU ABOUT IT!!! Just tell people that it's a site for talking about many things, games are just one thing people talk about most on here. People need to start topics on other things...I think I'll go do that right now!!! *Runs to General Discussion area*
