Here is an impression I wrote for it before my DS Lite clunked out on me.
Meteos Disney Magic is the sequel of sorts to the 2005 Meteos game. If anyone may recall, the first Meteos game took place in which you have to launch tiny blocks (called Meteos, hence the name of the game) at other planets in an attempt to destroy and conquer that planet with the goal of universal conquest. You go to different worlds in order to do this and each world features its own set of blocks, its own set of music, and its own set of environmental physics. These environmental physics range from causing the blocks to fall and launch slowly to have them vanish at the speed of light off the screen. There is a huge range of what can be done in the middle ground of these terms. The game can best be summed up in these words: A hectic game through an experience in sound and touchability.
Disney Meteos Magic is essentially the same thing. There are only a few minor cosmetic changes and one gameplay change. Instead of being on a conquest for galactic domination, players are now on a ride to fix the storybooks of times past. They go through several Disney tales and meet popular Disney favorites in an attempt to solve a missionary goal which will in essence, according to Jimminy Cricket and Tinkerbell, fix the stories. Similarly speaking this game also features the same experience though, the sound is a bit of a notch down. However, the game replaces this with a bit more of a challenge. The game allows you to move Disneos vertically and horizontally (which would explain why the game is held in storybook fashion). Some critics believe that this made the game easier, but they are sadly mistaken. This game is perhaps as difficult or even moreso than the first one. The challenges are so hard it seems, right now I am stuck on hard mode on a Cinderella level where I have to send 125 of the blue cub Disneos into the air in 2:15 seconds if I remember correctly. This would be easy had the environmental physics of the level made it where the blocks wouldnt require so many launches just to make it off the screen, plus they fall down so fast!
Now that I think about it, this and Metoes have been the two games to really keep me playing my DS. Even though I have beat the first one, I still played it even after it for many times. Luna=Luna was my favorite level with its moon like physics and small icons in which there would literally be 25+ falling down the screen at one moment in time. It was one of the levels that you could get 200+ blocks launched on.
