The last thing Mass Effect needs is a movie. One of the big reasons Mass Effect is cool is because it's all about choices. When you're watching a movie, you don't have that, therefore it's just a generic scifi movie that's a "meh" at best. You won't care about the characters, because you're not interacting them. I guarantee that you probably wouldn't like or care about Tali at all if you didn't get to interact with her in the game.

Even so, I would think Hollywood learned it's lesson after the Super Mario Bros. movie, but obviously they haven't. I'll probably laugh when this bombs in theaters, and then watch it on DVD and laugh at how terrible it bombs.
 
I've never played "Mass Effect" before,but the game is always popular,maybe the movie will be as well.

I understand your point.

But, Mass Effect has a massive main story line. Whether or not it's good doesn't matter, I'll watch it simply for the CGI effects and stuff ('cause that's the crap I study). May not see it at the movies, but at least on DVD or Bluray.
And in a way, how is watching a movie adoption of the main plot in ME any dif' than watching Spider Man, Iron man, etc on the big screen? Both ae adoptions of a main plot!
 
The problem with the movie is that they'll use the canon Shephard, which is the male. No offense to guys, but that's disappointing since I play as a female Shephard.
 
Maybe they'll make a Blu-ray vid SOOOO advanced, that you can choose which gender is the main char! 0_0

(yeah... eventually something like that'll happen in the future.)

This also goes back to my point of it being about "choice". Other issues this raises are, who is going to be Shepard's love interest? Will it be Tali, Liara, or even Kelly?! As for the female Shepard, what about Garrus, Kaidan, or once again even Kelly?! Will Shepard be paragon or renegade in the movie? Who will end up dying? The list goes on and on.
 
^ guess that's why you'll have to watch it then, Hylian... DVD or otherwise.

You just don't know what the director wants to do.

(take into consideration that if they're smart, they'll have a list of alternate scenes to fill the other questions of a 'what if' scenario)

She was voiced by Jennifer Hale, which makes her greater than Male Shepard.
