is a gaming chair worth the money?

The one I want is $150, but I don't know if I'm ready to shell out that kind of cash.


So do you guys think they are a good investment?
 
It's at target. I've seen a lot of chairs that sit directly on the floor and they're cheaper, but this one sits on a swivel like an office chair. It's got speakers and all the jacks you could want. Aside from all that, it looks really comfortable.
 
Do you have the link to the one you want to get? I used to have one that sat on the floor, but I didn't really like it because of that.

If it's an office type chair turned into a gaming chair that could be worth a look.
 
It really depends on if you are currently uncomfortable while gaming. If you spend a large amount of time gaming and have a sore neck or back from your sitting position, a gaming chair could be a reasonable investment.
 
I'm not too uncomfortable, but I could definitely be more comfortable. I always sit on the couch and it's like 10ft from a 37" tv. So I can see fine. I think it's more of a want than a need.
 
Ugh! If I get a bean bag chair, I gotta get a lava lamp. If I get a lava lamp, I gotta get a blacklight. If I get a blacklight, I gotta get a strobe light. If I get a strobe light, I gotta get some coke. If I get some coke, I gotta get a couple hookers.


I just don't have that kinda money.

I have a black light night light by my computer desk >:)

I have a spare lava lamp that I actually got at a gift exchange this last Christmas if you really need one.

I gave my strobe light to another guitar player with whom I went to high school.

...that rant reminded me of a Futurama episode where Bender is talking about blackjack and hookers.. heh heh heh...
 
Ohhhhhh, those. I actually have one, but it sits too low for me. The only time I have ever used it was when we were moving and my TV was on the floor. If it's like a swivel chair, though, it would be cool. But for that kind of money you could get a nice pair of headphones to use, maybe even wireless headphones.

Most decent computer chairs cost about that much or more as well - so if it's just for gaming it might be worthwhile.

I'd still like to see the link to the actual chair in question.

That sounds pretty sweet. My ex had the basic on the floor kind and I think he really liked it. I think my current husband would have one too, except that I like to snuggle while he is playing games. haha.

If u got the money for it, I bet u would really enjoy it.
 
I searched target.com for the exact chair, but couldn't find the right one. The site did had a nearly $400 chair. Never would I spend that on any single gaming accessory.
 
Back in my time, THIS was a "Gaming Chair".
