How we got on EGA

Do you remember how you got on EGA? I remember how I did, but even though this thread is completely pointless. Tell your story if you have one:)
 
Well I was in the heated battle during a lighting storm, fighting a roman cyclops statue, and then after I killed with my whip and daggers, this other statue was struck by lighting and BlueVoodu came out and said "I am BlueVoodu the Vampire Hunter! My family was killed by Dracula and I seek revenge!" and then I thought to myself "Hmmmm Should I take him with me on my journey to defeat dracula?"and so I said yes, and we shook hands and marched towards the Castle!

Oh wait, that was CastleVania 3...

Well in REALITY.. :D....Blue told me to come by and check out, he sent me an e-mail and I haven't spoken to him since August of 2004...and the E-mail was from December 04' I think lol So I said sure!
 
Awhile after buying a Neo Geo Pocket Color I was looking for a copy of Faselei.
Dave/BV managed to talk me into buying 5 more games and while I waited I asked on the forum how long it usually takes to receive an item from the store. Everyone seemed so nice so I decided to stick around :)
 
A friend of mine was on here, but I don't think he posts any more, or checks in on threads. This was back in 2004, I believe. But apparently despite my memory, I registered in 2006... anyway, bottom line is I tried starting threads, getting into other threads, and spent many an hour in chat, and I've been coming back to check on some game reviews and join in on jokes almost every day.
 
Back in the ezboard days. MM and I ran a gaming ezboard just for fun, and BV was a member. He talked us in to coming to his site and the rest is history.
 
Banned on another site, bored at school, searched for videogame forums that had some sort of arcade, then joined. HAve I been here for more than 5 years?

Yep, says you joined in May of '05.

I thought we already had a thread on this? But I'll say it again.. :lol

Searched for a video game forum when I was just starting High School and this one was the first or second to pop up. First forum I ever joined too.
 
Man time flies, I dont even want to imagine what my posts looked like from 5 years ago, that was during high school I think. Wow, Ive actually been here all through undergraduate too
 
I believe I was searching through the old ezboard advertising section where people went to advertise their message boards. I saw BV's post there and ended up coming to the board.
 
I was looking for a forum with the Neo Geo CD in mind and this is the only site that really showed up on Google.

I've known BV for years and years. He invited me to check out the site. :P
 
When we were still on Ezboards, I looked at a lot of forums for video games. EGA was the only one that fit my two criteria:
1. Not anti-Nintendo
2. Active

So I joined it. And then when we moved here, I came along as well. ^_^
