Harry Potter books/movies thread!

Live or die man.
Hello! ALL EGA gamers! welcome to the Harry Potter books/movies thread. I have a feeling someone has already made a thread like this... Well i've only seen the 1st and 2nd movie because I always want to read the books first, right? I'm on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm almost done with it, too. It's an exelent book so far! Well, all of them are! I love these books. Well you pretty much get the point in this thread! Well, Ill leave it to you all. ENJOY!

I've read them all, and each novel is quite compelling, imo. And it is much better to read the novels then watch the movies.. or at least read in general, because there's much more in the novel than there is in the movie. The movie just takes what the producer believes the most important part, and put it into acting, which means your imagination can take a break.

I was disappointed at the end of the final book though... It was going fine, then it just went all weird. I'm not saying it's bad, but I've seen better ways of finishing a series. If I didn't know myself how difficult it can be, I'd probably have been silly enough to have written it all off just because of it.

I realized you said "Final Book" once I clicked the spoiler, so I closed it immediately. Yes, Hell you're right. The Books are ALWAYS better than the movies. I'm on the 4Th book. I love when I read the book, and then watch the movie. It just feels so cool! I also love the feeling of comparing. :)

Yeah, being able to legitimately compare the book to the movie is great. I tell you what though. In the Goblet of Fire...
... the Quiditch Match never really happens, which I reckon is grade A bollocks.
It'd have been nice if they'd kept it. But that's what happens when you make a movie from a book. You've got a budget and a time frame, and you need to keep it in there. So generally they take out what they think isn't that important at all, to make sure that all possible scenes that are supposed to be seen in order to understand the story plot are harnessed instead.

I couldn't help not clicking the spoiler, but i'm lucky it didn't make sence to me... XD Im around page 120... Started about 4 days ago, but my record for a hard reader is usually by now i'm around page "220"... >_<

Umm... yes it is. In fact, it's been out long enough for Order of the Phoenix to come out too. And Half Blood Prince is due out some time next year (I'd guess)
