Hamamura of Famitsu admits the PSPGo is selling worse than the Wonderswan.

MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Hamamura also mentioned that he thinks PSP Go is a disappointment, it's selling worse than Bandai's WonderSwan back in 1999. He said that although you can download Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G on PSP Go, but you can't play it properly due to the placement of the analog stick.

Sad, how history repeats itself after 10 years.

No surprise. A DLC-based console will not succeed. Especially since they're still putting out UMD-based games for the other PSPs. However, I love my Go. :)

Think the Go is good but poorly executed. Also the Wonderswan has had like 3 iterations and the PSPGo has only like one year. Maybe it could make a turn around if game prices drop :P

The Go is a sexy beast, but I think the price was a problem and I think the world wasn't ready yet for it.

I really love the size and shape of the PSPgo, but they never came up with a satisfying solution to how people who already owned PSPs and had several UMDs would convert those UMDs to be able to play them on the PSPgo.

It is a really really good and cool size and shape, yes. However, why not buy a PSP 3000 and then you can have the downloadable content AND all the UMD discs as an option? It's just a lot of work for a new system with not enough exclusive content to justify it.

Then again, the PSP in general doesn't have enough exclusive content to justify it.

This I definitely agree with.

This however, I find more enjoyment out of my PSP exclusives than my DS exclusives. I can only play Pokemon and Mario games so many times before it gets dull for me.

Agreed.

I'd really love to get a PSP for Dracula X Chronicles, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, and to use as an mp3 player. Then again, I already have a Sony 2 GB mp3 player, SOTN on the Playstation, and Tekken 5 on the PS2. So, it'd be a little too redundant to justify the cost.

I find both the PSP and DS to be equally good when it comes to exclusives actually XD

That's because they were meant more for those who haven't jumped on the PSP bandwagon yet. It wasn't really marketed towards those who already owned a PSP.

That's a good point.

On the other hand, I think the price would be a deterrent for someone just jumping on the PSP bandwagon.
As aprilsrain said, why not just get the cheaper PSP 3000 and have the option for both UMD and downloadable content?
